Interceptor isn't back on the market yet, so a lot of folks who have been using it are going to need to take a look at Trifexis (including myself).

I split a large dog Comfortis in half and give it to my two medium sized dogs.  Fleas are pretty bad here in the South, but splitting it still works well.

Also, I shop at Best Value Pet Supplies, an Australian based company; so no vet prescription is required and prices are very cheap.

--- > I've always had good luck with Advantix II

Can cause neuro symptoms in dogs predisposed to them :(

I used nematodes- seem to work well, but I used them for fleas, not ticks. My neighbor had a wood pile and the fleas were multiplying like crazy, innundating my house and property :(  Stupid neighbor thought they were gnats!!!

Lots of people use Ortho Tree and Shrub here with good reports. Would like to know if anyone else uses it.

Anyone know of a good website or resource where all the flea/tick meds are compared.

A friend of ours said to dust the dog with baking soda. You can also dust your carpets if they are laying eggs in it.

Hexe, sorry for the late response. Computer problems. Yes, nematodes do go after ticks and many other things. I order mine at www.arbico-organics.com and some times they do have sales on them. I wouldn't go any other way!!!! Dogs haven't needed any topicals on them since 2007 when I sprayed the nematodes on my property. Love these all natural tick killers!!!
