Rebel, I'm sorry your sister's situation is on the decline, especially knowing that the stress and sorrow of sending her Stoney on ahead in the journey coudln't have had any positive effect on her illness...and the emotional toll this all must be taking on you makes me want to weep on your behalf.
I am glad that the tramadol is helping Tara, though, and remember, if she does seem to be having a problem with incontinence while sleeping, there is a relatively inexpensive medication that can address that as well. Give your old dog-girl a hug from a senior-dog fan up in NE Michigan, and sending one to you, too, in this time of familial sorrows.

I am sorry to hear about your dog, and i hope she gets better. I had a GSD who weighed 100# and he had severe HD and the vet gave him 100mg Adiquin in the effected hip once and then again about a month later, after that it was just once every 6 Months, so it was not a weekly shot as the vet thought.I hope you try the Adiquin, it works the best for HD in my opinion.
