RJANSOM, fantastic looking puppy. Well, I guess medium sized dogs can get it too. I've only ever heard the owners of big dogs complain about it before. I hope he feels better soon.

Thank you VM,
I think he is rather on the large side but slowing down now hopefully!
Are the stats I gave previously normal for that age?  He looks alot different now, that pic was taken this past summer.  He is larger and darker now.
He is on the left and my female is 21 months.  Sorry if i've hijacked this thread but VM  he's completely better now.  Thanks!  Wollypog, I hope your pup is better soon!

I have a female 23" and she had Pano at 8 months of age. front leg then hind leg. lasted a couple of weeks and now she is 2 years old and has shown no problem again with it. she is 65 lbs grown. So Yes it can hit smaller dogs. Her full brother, who grew faster and larger had pano 3 different times by 18 months of age. Elbos and knees x-rayed fine. His pano went from one front leg to another, then to a rear leg. Then cleared up for a few months and hit again one front leg then the other, for about a month, The last time he was about 15 months old and flared up real bad in one front leg, that time it was again 4-5 weeks and had him on an anti inflammatory medication each day.
This makes me Wonder if Pano might run more in certain lines. Since the male grew alot faster than the female, I could understand his, but she also had it and she certainly didn't grow as fast as he did. His was alot more severe.
These are actually the first and Only GSD's I ever owned that had Pano and I have always had the larger size Dogs.
females avg, 85 and males avg 100-105 lbs.
Also, has anyone had hair line fractures  in the front legs with Pano?

Just my thoughts/experiences.

Well... 6 days of no running or jumping seems to have done the trick. Let him run loose today and do whatever he wanted and he had no limp afterwards. Seemed pretty happy to finally be able to run with the other dog! Oh well, sit and wait for the next "emergency" with this bone head !!!
