We have to be careful about the things that we say. I am referring to accusations of judges putting dogs out thier stud dogs up in class. IN the 18-24 month male class, I believe the winner deserved to be. Although we might not understand the concequences and impact of our words when we write them, I think due consideration ought to be given before a post is made. Nicos, in no way am I challenging your opinion, but who do you think deserved to be the 18-24 month sieger other than the Larus son (Ronaldo, I believe was his name--Randy's dog)?? As to other placements and classes, I will not object to anyone's subjective opinion, but in that class, I think the judging was fair based on the entry.

BIG TIME deserved, Ronaldo is a very awesome young male with a bright future.. it would be different if he just had crappy temperament or was not conformationally correct etc.. but that young boy has great true GSD Temperament and he can move and he is a good showing dog. IMO the judge from the WDA NASS put him up and i dont think he had anything to gain by putting him up first, i am not sure of his offiliation with Mr Orschler etc.... if any. Regards, Dawnmarie

Nicos, please note that I said, "Perhaps there's a bit more integrity left in that world than you suppose." So, no, I don't think we're living in two different worlds--and I think we both have a pretty good idea as to what makes it go 'round (no matter what sport, hobby, business or other venue). ;^) I was merely pointing out that the 'sure thing' some others were complaining about--before it even happened--wasn't such a lock after all.

Congratulations on your girl's placing, Makosh! And thanks for filling in some more of the results for us, since the official site *still* doesn't have so much as an entrant's list posted yet...

Orschler commented public that SG4 dog could have much better (since he was already 4th, that means 3rd, 2nd or 1st and 3rd and 2nd aren't that much better) and did not show all of what he was capable of because he needs more ring training. Privately he was heard to say that the fourth dog was more or less as good as Ronaldo.

by sunshine on 02 November 2004 - 03:11

Klossbruhe, personally knowing the owner and dog of SG3, your commentary makes no sense to me since this Particular dog has no affiliation to a known breeder, has a team that works with it and the dog is trained by a novice working alone in a void. Hearsay folks that the 4th dog is as good as Ronaldo. The placements are as they are. And each placement as deserving as the other but there can be only one dog that obtains the first place.
