Olga Ashley

by Olga Ashley on 03 November 2004 - 08:11

Looking at the pictures of this poor girl, it appears to me as if this is not her first litter. It looks to me like she has nursed a littler before, her mammary glands don't look tucked and are far to defined for a maiden bitch. Her overall condition and lack of hair in the first few pictures could also suggust coming off a litter, in her new picture she has MUCH more hair than in the first few pictures.

Olga if she had litter before and all was not good would explain his desperation She is just pitiful looking whats his price down to now? Poor thing looks so skinny to have pups take anything from her nutrient wise!! to be so thin and no muscle tone both makes ya want to lock him up in crate and not feed proper. nice boat Charlie love Grady White! mmm fresh tuna! Love to shark fish too! I had a 25' Shamrock. Hated the low free board but ah she was tough. Yeah charter boats are expensive I use to have relative capyained a boat down fl was great when ever go down free fishing off the keys!! Oregon inlet is decent priced charters. va beach charter boat make more cash taking dolphin watchers out than fishing.

I can sort of follow what is going on, given the local connection and local scuttlebutt. Also, same deal happened 1-1.5 years ago on this board and there was some correspondence and even a couple of conversations on the phone. Part of the football thing may be the reference to 'the Pats' meaning Patriots...the wildthings real name is Pat. Signing off as Jill is, and the claims of being 20 are, smoke IMHO... Remember all the bruhaha over the AARP recommendations that retirees raise dogs for income???? And being guided by an SV member who even spent their vacation with wildthing, and who condemned the SV system, praised the AKCs justifys and therefore validated the breeding of young dogs, untitled dogs and buying up breeding stock of decent lines - probably the German contact is acting as a broker and vacationing here in beautiful western PA as well!!! So you have an older lady, living in a very rural farming community, who likes dogs, is supplementing her retirement, and being guided by a German breeder who is probably not particularly competitive and both now have some self conceived status of being international importer/exporters and making money! Add that to your analogy of bricks!!!! And you have to remember, that many seniors are not comfortable on computers, so the faux pas made are not understood - heck sarcasm goes whizzing right by!

i think that now he is down to make an offer. Has anyone emailed this guy and told him what an ass he is for all he is doing to this poor female. Just think he most likly would have sold her if she was in good condition. Heather

is alright Kouger read under other catagory i found some other infos on her I think you are right on track! I did some calls one of which was akc and she sells her pups full registration akc doesnt care what info they give out about you also they were speculating other litters registered under her relatives names as there are more in the area under other names with same last asked me if I knew her family names to check if she was doing just that.

by Kougar on 03 November 2004 - 17:11

well- Butler and Armstrong counties are tradionally rural and farming communities and there are tons of people with a few very common last names - have alot of that last name who show up at the equine vet clinic with horses...not quite the Smith and Jones of last names, but sort of like Wilson and Thomas...but if they are all GSDs, could be. Does AKC limit how many litters can be bred by an individual???

they are all gsd litters with same last name and yes akc does look this way for puppy mills also many gsd there litter other last names they are aware some puppy mill type activity covers some this way of registering litters with other folks. But I dont think akc does it to stop puppy mills they just want to make sure to get increased fees I think because of kennel liscensing or somthing could be wrong.

OK-I know of another somewhat local breeder who had AKC privledges pulled and all litters were registered under family members names. Bought an isolated 6 month old Am x Germ cross female companion puppy there years ago to 'save' her from being a puppy making machine. The breeding stock changes on the webpage of wildthing occassionally - guess she just transfers them and keeps breeding them. Marketing. Oh - got a call from the HS in that area yesterday - 2 GSDs - black and reds - that were being offered to rescues...the HS people know who the breeders are on alot of these dogs as they often get owner turn ins as well as unclaimed strays and left on doorsteps - I help rescue with transport and networking.

Sounds to me like the Wldthang's German contact has found herself a cash cow, someone who will buy her culls born from untitled parents. AKC needs to take some responsibility I agree, but it wouldn't kill the SV to take some themselves. On one hand the SV makes a big deal out of titling dogs and breed evaluations, but on the other hand they allow untitled dogs to be bred from, registered, and exported. How are they assuming anymore responsibilty that the AKC? I suspect the only reason the Wildthang is breeding imports and not AKC lines is the puppies from imports sell for higher prices to the unsuspecting pet buyers. In this area of PA, a BYB is lucky to get $250 for a puppy, I imagine the imports demand a lot more. I certainly hope that anyone on this board knowing Kevin's owner will let her know the sort of person who is buying one of his puppies assuming this is not just another of Wildthang's pipe dreams and more of a wish than a fact.
