Sunshine, I don't know where Carter got his info, but I suspect he may have been reading some of the German chat sites, some newspaper articles and/or watched the German TV program last week. From a reader's point of view: instead of challenging Carter's comments and sources, you could research this issue and present your sources to disporve Carter's comments. In that way, it makes a more interesting discussion thread without getting defensive or confrontational.
If the dog was a BSP participant, it would be a troubling situation with reprocussions I'd hate to think about. I'm sure this will be proven or disproven in the long haul. Time has a way of exposing the truth, so let's see where this story finally ends.
I've read a number of accounts, but it's too early to sort out fact from opinion. I'm sure emotional and political views have colored this issue, but where there's smoke there must be a fire. You'll have to check it out for yourself.

Joanna, in the German chat site you listed above, there was alot of complaining about the type of reporting from Mr. Jauch but nothing that the dog in question was a BSP participant.

M.Carter, we have not heard from you in such a long time. The show will be rerun tomorrow and I guess you will be watching. Tell us what you saw. Joanna what about the chats in Germany on this? Any new developments? Can you give us any new references about that skiddish dog that was a BSP participant and maimed a 7 year old family member? I still have seen nothing on German news on this.

The dog on in the Picture of the Article from SternTV is NOT the dog that has been attacking the seven year old child.....!
I wrote a letter to the SternTV Redaktion and they wrote back to me, saying that the picture is from there Archiv !
I was very upset about this Report, because it's always the negative things they show on german TV about Dogs.
They should reather tell the World of all the Dogs that give there service and there lifes for us in so many different situations.
Agression in Dogs is Menmade and not the Dogs fould.
