click on the posters name and a window comes up witwh profile the email can be sent via that page if the poster allowed it Stacy - kudos to you for standing up for Dutchess!!!! Sounds like she is a mix of this and that - not uncommon in this country!!! - and she is lucky you came to her rescue. May she have a long and happy life. Dave

I have some confusion Is your dog the one listed .... Anna? Or is this her mother? It sounds like a later post that Anna is the mother but this does not make sense as you wish to post Dutchess' pedigree. I ask because depending on how the date was entered, Anna was born 02 06-01 which would make it hard to have a 3+ year old daughter.

No Anna is her mother. She wasnt born 02 06-01. The 02 is part of the AKC registery #. And from what I have been told and have read on the Duchesss' registered papers is that the date 06-01 was the date that she was registered into some kind of book of some kind. Not really sure, it could be the date that Anna was registered with the akc or something, but the father has an earlier date and he was registered in some kind of stud book. So I am not sure if there is a kind of a book for females or something. But I do know that Anna was registered in that book or something after Duchess was born cause Duchess was born March 6 2001. Sorry for the confusion. Stacy

That makes more sense; someone just entered the mothers birthdate wrong. It is wonderful what you have done. It must have been hard with it being sort of family and all. Anyway, there are some very nice working line dogs in the mothers part of the pedigree to be sure..But since she has AKC number she would have been imported and registered in the states If none of the father's dogs are on the site, I would guess he is of American lineage...what is his name and some of the dogs in his pedigree? Maybe we can help you track them down.

Yea her mother was imported and her daddy is american linege. Here are the names of the fathers side. Her daddys name is; Chanze Vaden/Daisy Vaden/Honey Boy III/Kennemur's Smoke/Namur Jean/Kristofer Corum Black/Duchess Von Till/Bonnie Blue Bern/Vincent Von Smoke/Macy Jackson McKenna/Frei Von Der Jaegergasse (West Germany is what it says)/Silver Dutchess Of Caesar/Shilo Mastrelli/Gypsy Of Mink Creek/Hanklin Sherrill/Baron Wilbourne/Fraulein Dodie Wilbourne/Herr Leck Klempnerarbeit/Princess Shellie Of Minka/Burnrock's Daniel/Donna Vom Peller/Sargeant Golden Of Caesar/Swinea's Silver Queen THESE NEXT 2 HAVE CONVERSION DEFAULTS.. But one does have a SZ Atilla Vom Reusch/Gisa Vom Klosenkamp Canterbury's Alabama Trooper/Lady Crystal Black/Samson Von Lake/Cassandra Nichole/Willie Bear Keeton/Black Velvet XXXVII Ok I have noticed that some of there registery letters are a little different too... Some are just plan D some are WD and WC and WB and WE. Is that all the AKC? Nancy if you could help that would be wonderful...cause it is almost like Christams with her and finding all this out. It is kind of exciting but kind of scary too...for I dont know anything really about this breed, and dont know where to go to find stuff out. Thanks for everything everyone!!! Stacy Lovett

I am afraid I personally do not know much about American line GSDs and don't regognize any of the names or kennel names, but there is a forum at www.germanshepherds.com that has more of a mix of American and Euro owners and is very civil about accepting different *types* of GSD. They may be able to help you with the Am lines. The American show dog is very very different than the Euro show dog which is very very different than the Euro working lines dogs and there is usually animosity between the groups as they all think the other groups are ruining the breed. But that board is very nice and does have a lot of American lines folks on it and a LOT of folks who have rescued GSDs so you would fit in well. (maybe you are already on that board for all I know.................)

Klossbruhe, I sent you an E-mail, thank you.

Thank you Nancy for that site. But even though Duchess may have both linages, I still want to indivudially reasearch both lines...If that is ok with you?? And that is why I am here, To learn more about the German line. I am not here to start a debate about which is better...cause I will tell you up front that I dont know nothing about this breed so therefore I cannot say which Is better. And really I dont care cause I didnt breed Duchess, I just rescued her. I mean if you meet someone you ask question about there past/history right...So Why cant I do that with Duchess German side here? This site has been very helpful for me. Stacy Lovett

Stacy, I was just trying to tell you that there are a lot of people with American lines on THAT site and that it is one of the few places that people with different lineages can talk and get info without feeling judged...and a lot of rescue folks are also there and would love your story. Just thought some one there may have more information on the "american" half of the pedigree. I am talking about going to the web board on that site, perhaps I was not clear. This is a wonderful site to look at the pedigrees of Euro line dogs but not much in the way of American lines and I think there are sites that have them that you could be directed to for that part of the pedigree.
