Why do dogs who are always provided with fresh clean drinking water at home, seem to enjoy drinking the grossest water they can find when out and about? I have muddy puddle drinkers and dogs I call gutter sluts.

LOL at 'gutter sluts'. I love it when I give them fresh water and they look at it and head for the toilet.

Do all dogs look at cat poo like a kid looks at candy?

Yes. Mine will go to great lengths to savor the kitty litter that I keep trying to hide down in the basement. The rest of the time, they hate stairs and refuse to use them.

The one that goes to the barn with us would rather drink out the nasty dirty water tubs the ducks bath in then the clean water dish in the house. Maybe they like the seasoning! :)

LOL Exactly...this is my point when my boyfriend makes a big deal about scrubbing and bleaching the water buckets. I figure why waste me time??? Badens new thing is to throw any toy, bone or rock in his water. Try keeping that clean.

I also cannot train at the park closest to my house because of cat poop interupting focus.
