It is Digby's thirteenth birthday today. When he was 8 weeks old, I never thought he would survive after swallowing something toxic that had him at deaths door for 10 days and left him with reduced kidney function and the warning he would be unlikely to have a normal life span, yet he went on to gain Sch H 1. As an old dog, he survived emergency surgery for a ruptured spleen and just prior to most of the footage here, he had further surgery to remove a large and malignant cancer from his hind leg.
Here is the Birthday Boy, healthy in mind, glossy of coat and still my constant companion.

| Margaret, that was absolutely beautiful! And Digby Dogbi DOES look magnificent for a much younger dog, never mind a thirteen year old! Even handles those stairs to bed with vigor... | I'm glad you enjoyed the video, even if it did make Abby cry. I could fill a book with all Digby's exploits over the years (i might even do that one day), he and his brother have been such fun from puppyhood and as my first introduction to true strong working lines, they changed my life so many ways. | Margaret it made me cry in a GOOD way, great big splattering happy sentimental tears. I just loved it. And I loved seeing such joy in him.....I will be watching it again. |

| I think I've watched all of the videos you and Ulf have put on the internet. I do love to see thsoe of the older dogs though who clearly still enjoy life and have a great time too. Your dogs are a credit to you. Laura xx PS. How is Koda? |
