This was a very good analysis, of where protection dogs have been and where they are today. I especially enjoyed and agree with the junk yard dog portion and crowd control. Thanks for posting this as it can be a good tool for serious breeders of the true protection type dogs that are in limited supply but still available, by those that still believe it takes more than high prey and trained aggression to be a top protection dog.

I am up to page 6/22. I found the historical perspective quite interesting.... it makes sense. I found the reasoning behind the advent of table training hugely entertaining. Laughed out loud:)
Typo: bottom of page 6, 1970's to 1789.

Will read more later.
