| You tried to call me several times?? How come I don't have any missed calls from you??? Can you take picture of your cell where you can prove it. I don't think so and I don't think you found the solution. Birgit, I care about animals. That's why I would be happy to ship him and not take him for another journey and I tried my best to ship him. You did not want to pay the higher costs and said take the dog back or else I make you responsible for the shipping charges. |

| Petr, we are not getting anywhere. I would be more than happy to reimburse you for the crate because I am a reasonable person. Again, once you make a quote you should honor it regardless of changes! It is your responsibilty to contact me! |

| Birgitt. I don't want any of your money. You were contacted last night. If you deny this I will get the confirmation from the shipping office in Frankfurt. There were 3 other people there at that time. The person you spoke with was Vineet and he explained you everything. I was sitting and trying to solve your problem from 12:00 till 17:30 there. You can ask. We can't do anything about the fact that the airline (Conti) is not ready to ship the dog and when we finally found the solution and called you we booked the flight with Lufthansa based on the phone call. Vineet explained you that the costs are going to be higher. You said you are ready to travel to Atlanta because you need the dog. The times when it was cheap to ship the dog are over. Also it will never be easy again to ship the dog out of Europe if you don't use the direct flight with either Lufthansa form FRA or KLM from AMS. I was in Amstedam on Monday too. No possibility to ship to RDU or any other destination that is not shipped with KLM. I had 7 dogs in total to be shipped out of Prague on Monday and Wednesday. All of them had to be shipped at a higher price from either Amsterdam or Frankfurt. I only came back with your dog. I think I did a good job to rebook the dogs there were supposed to be shipped on Monday to be shipped on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Show me other person in Czech that would be able to do it at such flexibility. Maybe Czech Duke. He is a super man. He can ship dog to RDU immediately for 950 EUR. Yes, maybe he can but he will drive to Franfurt all free of charge. In that case I want to use his service too. His prices are unbeatable. |

| and here we go again. Yes, I spoke to PetAir and said ship to Atlana.... I asked what the difference was and I heard you in the background saying I will figure it out. You never picked up the phone and called me!!! Then I found out thru the email that you only paid 755 Euro. So were you going to just keep the rest? I am sure you you charged all the others (6) for fuel. 150 Euro X 7 = 1050 Euro!!!! I understand fuel is high and I did not have a problem paying you the $250 that you quoted me. However, the price kept going up and up! Don't you get the point? |

| Dear all, I did little research and I was quoted possibility by Gradlyn Kennels to ship to RDU with United. I don't know if this will work but I contacted Brigitt Hall and informed her about the price and the possibility. This is all I can do for this matter. I won't ship the dog. Brigitt has to find somebody else to ship it for her. The price quoted by Pet Air is 990 EUR. The price quoted by Gradlyn is 1050 EUR. Anybody can check the prices and possiblity here: http://www.petair.de/ http://www.petshipping.com/ These prices are without delivery to Frankfurt. Petr Novotny |

Potrebujem to hodit na svoje Webove stranky aby mi vsetci tuna hlavu neodtrhli. nech to maju cierne na bielom kam musia ist vyzdvihnut psov. What major airlines will accept dogs from Europe and the major airports I can use to ship the dog? I need to make sure my clients know about this. Maybe I can contact Delta? Do they even have a list? Oh crap really, this will be a royal pain in the ass! |

| If you contact GK www.potshipping.com they will be able to help you. To be honest I have NEVER had ANY issues or problems with them. EVER!!! |
by Bhall on 13 June 2012 - 19:30 |
| GK has always been honest and once they give you a quote that is what you will get. I just never really told my seller where to go. All I can say is that my PM box is full...people telling me they went thru the same issue. They were quoted a price and then the dog could not be shipped out of Frankfurt and the charges went up. |

| Were all the issues also with petair? |
by GSDPACK on 13 June 2012 - 20:43 |
I fully understand why BHall is frustrated but this was not the shippers fault, believe it or not. 1. petair prices have been the same for a long time, Frankfurt has been always more expensive than Prague: Cost of gas plus time he spends on the road. 2. If the state requires a broker, the customer can find one or petair can provide a really god one that I have been using for a while now. 3. There are differences for a female or a male fees. 4 more dogs he has in his car, more money he makes and that is the SOUL of his business! The volume of dogs he transports is what makes him the money. 5. it is not his fault delta decided to make some changes to their most used aircraft and no longer transport animals. 6. it is the transportation of the dog from Czech to Frankfurt that will jump up the cost by at least $500 bucks if no other changes are maid like the dog chewing up a crate and needing a bigger crate resulting in higher charges for the ticket. I know this situation was a mess, could have happened to any of us. But to blame the shipper.... I had crap happening to me to because the flight was delayed, then the dog was shipped through all sorts of different places and resulting in extra 400 bucks in cost. Shit happens. BTW for all that import dogs, many smaller airport are cut off, the dogs will be shipped only to major airport and as it is now Delta is not taking any animals on Boening 767 I believe which is the major aircraft used in the US by Delta. There could be some other options which I believe will be explored in upcoming weeks. Prices of tickets will go up give or take 300-500 bucks and larger crate will be required. Limiting airports and limiting times. There you have the news... Bhall's dog was caught in the middle of the changes which blows badly and I trully feel for her as it could happen to one of my clients or myslef. Martina |

| I still did not get an answer on why only 755 Euro was paid in Franfurt. That was my whole issue. |
by GSDPACK on 13 June 2012 - 21:45 |
| Birgit, add the crate plus a vet certificate. He made exactly the sum he admited to 150 bucks or about 130Euro. 755 euro was the cost he was quoted from the airline before most of the crap happened. He did not try to screw you over, he tried to ship the dog and still make at least something for his work. The difference was then added by the airline because of the crate (another crate probably had to be purchased at the airport for premium price) and the difference in shipping. I would say 700 crate about 150 Euro plus the extra shipping with the extra cost since the airline raised the prices. That is my understanding of this whole mess. You really got screwed by Delta changes rather than petair and the fact your dog needed new, larger crate that resulted in more expenses plus the prices increased by the shipping airline. I would be furious also if that happened to me. I have no doubts about that. I am not siding, just trying to be objective..this is all simply a big mess that was caused by the ailine changing the rules. |

| No, I paid him 23000 CZK =900 Euro. He said $150 US DOLLARS FOR FUEL NOT EURO! He kept 145 Euro which is a little over $182 I know it is only about $35 US DOLLARS more that he kept but if everyone says....oh it's only $35.... Hey, if it is only $35 send it to me if you can throw it away. It is the principal of the matter. I am not disputing his effort but why are there so many others that had the same problem but just paid it. So this is not the first time. Hello Birgit, The prices in Frankfurt increased a lot in April. The price from Frankfurt is 990 EUR (about 1250 USD). 28000 CZK is about 1400 USD so I take about 150 USD for delivery. It's 1200 Km drive there and back. The price including delivery to Frankfurt is 28000 CZK. The agreed price for shipping out of Prague was 23000 CZK. If you agree I can book the flight for Wednesday out of Frankfurt and you would pay the difference of 5000 CZK (about 250 USD) to Frankfurt office. They would call you and charge your credit card. |

| Birgit, ok a light Sense of humor... did you put the web site you recommended into a search. It made me smile. ;o) Anyway the good thing is that your dog will be taken care off and your funds refunded. I get tired of bickering. I can see both sides so I am just leaving it at that. I have used petair for a long time and if issues came up, they worked with me. I hope the next trip for your dog will be more pleasant and faster one with no surprises. Good luck and I mean it (you know that I do). Now go and put the web site in the search so you can smile with me....www.potshipping.com |

| LOL@GSDPACK I don't know about Brigit, but you sure made me laugh! oh dear. LOL (This business change in airlines... I wonder if it has to do with preventing terrorists making dog bombs out of shipped pets?) |
