I am so very proud of my litter pick. This has made all cost, tears of frustration ( not from training, from too much puppy poo to clean up when I'm sick), everything worth it all...... ------------------------------------------------------------ At not quite 5 weeks old, I spent four 5 minutes sessions yesterday on 'come' command. My pick got it the second try and on fourth try got it with destractions (mom was laying down and was very tempting for sneaky snack). He did 'come' flawlessly today. All was without leash or any lead. All yesterday were 4-5 feet; today 6 feet. ------------------------------------------------------------ I hope he stays this way. He brought tears to my eyes.

I don't want to burst your bubble because it's sweet lol but every puppy I have played with at this age will come when you call it (unless it is shy) as it wants to be with you. Wait until they hit 4 months and want nothing to do with anything. :D

Absolutely! And if you keep puppies and are training them from such a young age you WILL be amazed at what they can learn. I had an APBT I had from 3 weeks (orphan) that had his basic commands down by 6 weeks and proofed at 8 or 9. Never had an accident in the house after 6 weeks either. They are smart little buggers.

Keep it up and if they have food drive or prey drive they never turn back to ignore.

Mine have their nose to my pant leg and now to my back pocket. I have to tell them YOU have three acres...go play somewhere

Course mine are 7yrs up now..but my pups never lose the focus if you keep at it and it becomes their nature.

but they have to have that  training..just keep it up..
