I would like to hear opinions regarding the pros and cons of jute sleeve covers versus french linen/bite suit material covers.

Alright.  Let me attempt to generate some response by giving my opinion as it stands presently.
I believe French Linen is superior to jute because:
1. it requires a harder bite for the dog to maintain grip
2. it is less prone to snagging a tooth
3. it lasts far longer
4. it washes easier and so also (3. lasts longer)
If one searches, french linen covers can be purchased for about the same price as jute.
If any of my assertions are deemed erroneous, I would love to be educated.

Use french linen to start off with but switch to jute as when the dog gets older he will be biting a jute sleeve and if you do suit work the suit will probably be jute.

Main thing is to use different materials so the dog doesn't become partial to one material.
