I personally would not wait any longer. You do what YOU need to do, and the sooner the better.
If you can't see you are being bent over and rammed..I don't know what more would point it out to you.
Get the ball rolling. She can stop it at any point by providing you what you paid for. If not, nail her ass to the wall.

Keep us all updated, and good luck!

Not getting too involved but as far the the 50 years breeding what some don't know is that her Mother bred under the name von Hayden.  Kim is carrying on her Mother's legacy.

Even her domain name is registerd under domains by proxy so her real address won't show up.  She lists numerous different states and addresses in her adds.  Her telephone is a cell registered in New York where her mother was from.  Why do that?

There are several tax liens in NY for her and a Federal one for her husband.  Her mother bred white shepherds, not working line and she has not been breeding anything for 50 years.  She has not even been alive for 50 years, though she has 50 years worth of complaints.  Can any one say Vickie Lanig?

Just an FYI, Parkersburg WV & Marietta OH border each other.
Basically cross the river and you are at either place.

I'd get any and all screen shots of her website, if you have copy of the ad for the dog she sold you etc. Gather it all up and get the ball rolling.

I am not sure what the issue is here.
I have purchased 2 dogs from Kim,  she has followed through on her contracts, returned every point of contact when I have reached out to her.  She has also followed up on the dogs on their arrival and through the 2 and 3 years that I have had them.

I am a breeder,  per my contract,  I provide the purchaser with a COPY of the puppy registration application,  but not with the  application itself.  Too many people never turn in the application/transfer in or do not fulfill the terms or breed an unfit dog..  I complete the registration in my name.  Once the dog has its hips completed  and/or the purchaser submits a splay/neuter certificate from a licensed vet,  I transfer the paper work.  NOT BEFORE.

I have been following some issues that Kim has had with som dishonest people about breedings and purchases.  I would encourage people to reach out to Kim directly before they take a position for or against and make a judgement.  There is ALWAYS 2 sides to the story.   Its very easy to publish a negative report on the internet without anything to back it up.  And of course,  EVERYTHING published on the internet MUST be true.  Right?

Good news! It seems she's one who likes to avoid the confrontation and just hurry up and get the paperwork submitted. Not my favorite method, as I believe people deserve communication, but all's well that ends well. Congrats.

As I said, I didn't doubt that the dog was eligible for registration, nor that the paperwork would come through--I just feel the buyer was given weak excuses for a delay that never should have happened in the first place, and the breeder had done herself a disservice in leaving this customer feeling ignored. Glad she was able to get herself reorganized and get this registration taken care of so that raylind has Neci's papers and can concentrate on how much he loves his very nice, well-bred GSD girl and how pleased he is with her.

Good news!!!   I guess sometimes it takes a squeaky wheel to get the oil.  Too bad, that.  But in the end it worked, so that's good news.

How dreadful that any and all perceived dirty laundry that may have been available on the internet gets dredged up whenever the "Squeeky Wheel" raises their voice even when it has nothing at ALL to do with the question raised.  While I'm certain that it's frustrating to wait on a breeder to return paperwork and I do feel for the buyer about the lack of contact from Kim.  Sometimes real life "stuff" does happen that totally swamps people. I can't believe how quickly people are to pack-attack when questions of integrity are raised!!  Glad that you were able to make contact and discovered there's no devious plot behind the delay.

BTW... Happy Holiday, may the spirit of the Season fill your heart.

windwalker, how nice to remain "half full".

The reality is, the feedback from here was likely getting to her.
There is simply no valid reason for not having the AKC paperwork ready for the puppy buyer, especially when payment in full is expected at the time the buyer picked up the puppy. Buyer held up his end, seller should have as well.

Obviously she just filed the paperwork if the AKC stuff is dated 12-14, however, I myself would be calling AKC monday and checking on the actual status from them..

I do hope it all works out and you get your papers, especially right before Christmas.

Most people know, AKC litter/individual paperwork takes all of about 15 minutes at best..so no matter what kind of "drama" is going on in the breeders family, this is a business transaction and she should have made the time. She sure made the time to advertise the dog, correspond with the potential buyer and collect the buyers $.
There was time for that? There was time to have this all done.

At the very LEAST, she should have explained all this honestly to the buyer before accepting a dime of his money.

Good luck, I really do hope this was all it took and you get your papers!

Sometimes life and family (especially family!) get in the way of normal business. It doesn't matter what that business is- dogs, bookkeeping, governing a municipality, whatever. When a breeder with as many happy customers as Kim has (I personally know a few, some repeat customers over years) is behind with paperwork, most of us would not automatically suspect foul dealings.
I know I didn't.

The AKC paperwork is finally in hand. This would never happened without the support and helpful suggestions offered by many members of the PDB.This all could have been avoided if Kim had just done the right thing back in August. With any business , problems are certain to arise.Your reputation is based not only on the product you offer but how you deal with these problems.

Congrats!
It's sad you had to come here to finally get what you paid for, but, at least you got them.

I'm not going to take back anything I wrote about the breeder either, had you not shamed her into moving her @ss you would likely still be waiting.
She should have had the paperwork in hand the day you paid for and took possession of the dog.

Hopefully you have both learned a valuable lesson
Make sure all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed when purchasing a dog (or anything else).

Happy holidays to you and your newly registered dog!
