Is it in any way possible that the dog wasn't so much stolen as picked up by some moron who thought it was lost? Before you think I'm stupid, here's why I'm asking:  this almost happened to me once. I had acreage, and my 2 dogs were near the edge of my property line. I was in my barn, but I could see them. Someone in a van pulled up and tried to get them in the van. Neither dog was interested and headed back toward me just as I ran out and yelled to the person so see what the hell they were doing. They said "Oh, thank goodness. We thought they were lost."

IF this is even plausible, then I would be in contact w/every agency, vet's office,  posting on craigslist, etc. because this dim-witted but well-meaning idiot may just think they're doing something nice. Now, if Al has a small yard and the dog was in it...well, that's not what happened. I would be beside myself if my dog was lost.

If there's anything I can do, let me know. I'm fairly close.

I sure hope he finds him but do not hold your breath.   A ball, or a sleever had to have been used by someone who knew the dog.

Moore"s Konig disappeared right out of Houston Texas many years ago and was sold to someone in  Eastern USA

HE was  on consignment with a trainer for  an SO DEPT>

   NEVER  was found

Because he looks like all the other   SABLE MALES  and crooks know how to cover and remove tatoos and never take the dog to places where  he will be known.

THEY use him with OTHER DOGS PAPERS>>  THE  MAN who took him out of town we know sold pups   unregistered out of KONIG...I found one of them right here in TYLER, some 10 yrears after the incident.

  GOOD LUCK AL.

  I know your heartache

Has anyone thought of bunchers or animal dealers, this a common way they gather dogs.

AL:

I'm really sorry for this horrible situation.  My recommendation is that you start putting up flyers with a "No questions asked if returned safely and a $xxxxx reward."  I'll help do fundraising if you want.  Our club will contribute $200 to the reward money if you decide to do this.  I'm sure others would love to help.

Here is a link to the news video story that was run on the local news about Hex:

http://www.wqad.com/videobeta/    (click on "stolen dog" right hand side of page)

Also Hex has a FaceBook page:

http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/239696906081895/

I think if everyone who is a member of FaceBook would put a notice and link to Hex in their "status" it might help get the word out.

Please make sure that you share and post the interview with Al from the news (link that sueincc provided).  If on Facebook, keep sharing and posting.

Good recap and shows multiple fotos of Hex.
