Great pict of Boomer, Jim. smiley

I'd keep my girl, Bera. She's the best bitch I've ever had and I've gone through a few over the years.

Capri was the first one that came to my mind.  I've also seen a black Bomber son (I think) posted a few times, I'd take him.

I'm now 61. and have had a lot of dogs in my life... Have looked for one with the loyalty of my Wizard (gone in 1989) and the absolute strength of charecter of my PPD, Shiloh. (gone in 1983)... There's been others I've loved and who loved me... one of the best of which was a rescue Australian Shepherd female.  Saw a dog back 7 years ago that I absolutely flipped over, and missed being able to purchase. She came back to her breeder, and I got a male pup from her first litter.  Ikon is 100% of what I had hoped for.  His conformation is very very good, strong bone and expression... Movement is clean... Temperament he's very strong... perhaps a bit more than  I expected, at times a real challenge.  He's gentle with the elderly, polite with strangers... Curious about new circumstances.  Sadly I don't have the physical ability to train for Schutzhund, nor the financial ability to hire someone to title him for me... and am too attached to him to send him off for a year or more to be trained.  My one wish would be that I could have had a fellow like him back when I was 30... and that Schutzhund clubs were popular back then.  But I'll keep my kid... he's just what I picture a GSD to be.

(My thanks to Kristi for handling him for me)

If I could take ANY dog I would take Suttles dog Ivo without even having to think twice about it! He is KNPV ph1.

He has every trait needed for a great police K9 and his hunt drive is off the charts!

Not sure if her owner is a member here, but I would for sure love Clarissa Blue-Iris. I've been in love with that dog ever since I saw her work in NASS in 2006 and then again in 2007. Though I'm pretty partial to my girls I have now, so she'd have to get along with them fairly well...lol.

I would like Keith Grossman's male Axel...

He is handsome and reminds me of my male Prince, but Axel has a nicer temperment I think...: )

I am not sure of the rules of this game.

Can we bring dogs back from Heaven?

If so, I would bring back Shadow

If that is not allowed, I would like something like Rookie, or something from Rookie.

There are a lot of dogs that belong to members that I like---Rookie, Boomer, Gina, Capri.............................but honestly I really like the crew I have and think they are the best dogs I have ever had--especially my Mauli girl.  They all have their own qualities.  What is the saying?  The grass is always greener.........

If you can bring dogs back, no question, no doubt......Gucci. But if that isn't part of the rules, I'd sure take his granddaughter Vogue. I've also always admired Shelley's dog T, and Chris's Gina.

slamdunc, all I could picture is a LEO getting out of his car with the dark shades and then here comes the dog in shades. made me laugh.

I developed a crush on Capri maybe a year or more ago, not over it yet. Add to that, Jenn posts some stuff occasionally that makes my old heart beat a little faster. Ibrihim, any chance we could change this to a 2 for 1 wish.blush

I was just thinking Caleb von Schraderhause (Jennie's dog) and Alexa's  pedigree had the same motherline. Elba z Esagilu (previously owned by the Schraderhause kennel).. I think the breeder did some very succesful breedings on this female. I wish I could see some other dogs from these breedings. I never met Elba but from what I have been told, she is a pretty strong link in these dogs when it comes to hardnes. I know that the owner took Elba to do some bite work at te age of 11 or so and the helper was blown away and kinda wished the female was few years younger so they could trial her.  Van Den Heuvel used her sister (littermate) and I just had a discussion about the sister with a person who knows that dog and I was told she was an excellent producer also.
I think Elba will be seen in some very nice dogs in the future.. so I think I would also take that dog.. I would steal Elba z Esagilu and turn back time and breed her myslef..LOL

I guess that is not possible..so nevermind.

I think Xero z PS over Figa Cega was a good click, for sure. The B litter Cega was not too shabby either. B litter Cega females are some I like to see in the motherline. I spoke w/someone who had known all the "E"s Esagilu and confirms they were all nice dogs- pretty uniform litter in temperament, some better structured than others. I have met Elba. All my dreams of Caleb slowing down as he got older went out the window when I met her. If I could turn back time and make her about 2 years old again, I'd take her, too, though I'd love to make her either taller/longer-legged or shorter-coupled, since we are just playing pretend here. She'd be just right then. cool  She is in good health/shape for her age, which is important to me. Longevity is something I think too few people emphasize. I actually chose Caleb in part due to the age of his sire (DOB 1994). I'm happy to see/hear that she's still so spry as a coming 12yr old and hope he fares as well.

Capri says thanks to all of you. She's got a new spring in her step after reading this...as if she needed it. Caleb, OTOH,  says flattery will get you nowhere. cheekyblush

Thanks for the nice comments on Boomer and his picture.  Last wek I was out assisting another PD with their K-9 school and some Jordanian Officials come to the K-9 range for a demo on the spur of the moment.  The Jordanians were visiting the US and visiting Police Dept's.  Well they asked if I would do an obedience and obstacle course with Boomer for the Demo.  I brought Boomer out onto the field, off lead wearing those sunglasses.  I brought Boomer in front of the crowd wearing those sunglasses and had him wave to the Jordanian Officials then we did the demo.   No one was expecting that and it was worth the laugh.

Later I brought him out for bitework with a decoy in a suit on the field weraing the glasses again while I gave my warnings.  My goofy dog wore them until the last warning then tossed them aside just before I sent him.
