4 month old female mounting on her mom?

4 month old female mounting on her mom?
I have a GSD female she is now 4 months, but she started mounting at early age? (Since 3 Months I think)
Any ideas? is it bad or good and will it go away?

I keep her busy and take her attention away from doing that?
Any ideas?

 FEMALES DO MOUNT SOMETIMES, I AM SURE THAT IT WILL GO AWAY.  SOMETIMES WHEN
 THEY ARE IN SEASON THEY DO IT TOO.

Actually, as far as I remember I think she did or one of the other puppy did that once with littermates at that early age.

My parents Labs were female and did this. They always did, although I think it got better as they got older.

One time they did it in the back of the SUV while we were going through a drive thorugh. LOL  It was so embarassing.

sometimes this is a show of dominance(sp)..... i stop this behavior when is starts.

At that age, the dog has no idea WHY they are doing that. It has nothing to do with the thought of mating. My female lion used to throw me down and hump the crap out of me after we would rough housing. I found it had more to do with just getting overly excited, and not knowing where to direct so much excitement!
