No, do not send pictures to me. I am quite busy and most likely if you send a picture to me, I won't be able to insert it until a few days later.
All dogs in the pedigree database have either an "Update Photo" link (if the dog already has a picture) or an "Submit Photo" link (if the dog does not have a picture).
Those submission forms allows you to send via the website an updated picture. If the dog has no picture, then the submission will happen instantaneously. If he already has a picture, the updated photo will go in a queue for validation (We do not want to overwrite a good picture with a bad one)
If there is clear negative behaviour towards the dog(s) pedigree/picture, send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with subject "pedigree harashment" and I will lock the pedigree from tampering.
Do include in the email a direct link to the pedigree(s) in question.
No, please do not do that.
This system is free for use and open for all, and I just do not have the time to go over all the submission requests I recieve in my mailbox. This is one of the reasons I decided to open up insertion to the public.
Generally, if I am asked to insert data that is easilly done online with the current submission forms, I will ignore the email.
Those are valid registrations. Go ahead and register the dog without parental information.
But please do update the parent information as soon as you can. I do regularly clean dogs out of the system that have no value in a pedigree sense (no parents and no progeny)
To maintain some level of integrity the database needs to be as interlinked as possible. A pedigree that only has 1 or 2 generations and then nothing more, is not very constructive in a Pedigree Database.
Besides, many of the tools, such as linebreeding, will not work without at least 5 generations behind your dog.
I will do that, if requested on the following terms.
The comment is nasty and can in no way be considered constructive critisicm
The dog is not in any breeding program.
Basically, the minute you decide to breed a dog. You are putting his information and pedigree in the hands of public domain. Valid critisicm will not be removed.
For instance, comments like "I saw this dog in last years Club [...]'s Schutzhund competition and he came in last". Is quite valid and is good information for other breeders/buyers that may be considering your breeding program.
Generally there are only comments on dogs that are or have been in active breeding programs.
The email was misspelled.
Full name does not match the registered full name for the email, therefor triggering a spam blocker at your end.
There could be other reasons the mail is being grabbed by a spam blocker at your end.
The email is immediately sent out and should arrive in the inbox fairly quickly.
If you use a web-based email service, the mail could be in a special "unverified" queue and not your inbox, requiring you to check that queue and either group the email as "valid" or "spam" .
If these points do not help, try submitting again using a different email or sending me an email and I will look into it.
