The aim of pedigreedatabase is to be a tool for breeders. Hopefully we manage that and in doing so create a professional hub for people to get information about their favorite breed
This web started off in 2001 for the german shepherd dog. In 2003 it was redesigned and reprogrammed to be a tool for the breeder to post online pedigree information of their breeding programs. In May 2007 we opened up support for all dog breeds
. The German Shepherd dog section is still the most popular and most used section of the Pedigree Database.

For each breed section there is an isolated breeder listing, forum, classified and of course pedigree information.
All the main features on pedigreedatabase.com are free of charge (this incldudes but is not limited to) Register a pedigree, upload photos, create dog galleries, Post classifieds, register as a breeder, use all available pedigree formats (picture, X generations, ...) and more.

But to assure proper usage we require the user to be logged in to use those features. This is to prevent dubious anonymous modifications and submissions.
