Hi Vinnied368,
My first post here. I would contact someone that is in the sport. They dont have to live around you, but they may know someone near you that you could train with. I personally know Patricia Pray (she is my trainer). She trains with Debbie Zappia. Debbie Zappia is known internationally for her training techniques. Google Echoridge Ent. or Proformancek9 and you should be able to contact either one of them. Your training is critical at this point. Your foundation work right now sets the ground work for all your future training.
Best of luck

| I detect a note of sarcasm in your tone!!! You are better served to find a club in your area with someone who has good experience with the breed. No one can tell you over the internet how to develop skill to build your dog's play and bite behavior. One man's ceiling is another man's floor. Not the proper analogy but it does apply in a different way. Learning the timing of when a little is too much or alot is too little can't be taught on a keyboard. Too much is at stake. Seek advise in person from someone who knows and stop looking for the easy way out. I'm just guessing here but I assume you got your new puppy because it's kinda' like a Glock, not flashy but indestructable and comes out of the box accurate as hell and ready to shoot. |

I think you are missing my point. You basically agreed with me in your response. My "Glock" reference doesn't necessarily have anything to do with firearms but rather to a performance object that comes right out of the box and is extremely accurate with little to no adjustment and ready to go to work. Having said that, I still believe that you cannot find training answers over the internet. Names of people in your area that can help, sure, that's the best way. Find someone in your area that not only has experience with the breed but also with the sport/discipline you choose. |
