I need some advise. My daughter wants to adpot her bomb dog that she worked in Afghastan for the past 2 years. He is 7 years old, high drive, purebred but the not sure if he has any papers. I have German Shepherds, and from what I hear Mal's are very high energy. I have kennel space, so having room for him would be no problem. He would be staying with me and my Shepherds until my daughter could find another place to keep him.  I am a dog trainer, but I would not have time to work this dog. Any suggestions. I am not even sure what I am asking here.

If your daughter is caring for her dog and he's not your responsibility to work and exercise, there shouldn't be a problem.

He might be happy to retire to a now that he is 7 yrs old compared to when he was 2 yrs old;  easier to satisfy now that he's

had a lifetime of regimented work.
