Even though this is a French breed I remember growing up to see these guys at my fathers vet clinic in Ireland.
They have always fascinated me.

Hi Birdy! What are these dogs bred to do? Disposition? |

I have a Beauce. My speciality is GSDs. I've been a dogger for over 15 years. I'm starting to expand into working Beaucerons. |

Have any of you had experience with the UKC and the Beauceron,or the AKC since they are not on the FSS anymore?

Also a GSD specilist here... but looking forward to getting a couple of Beaucerons for work and show in about 8 weeks. Will be shown in UKC and AKC, herding, SchH, and who knows what else....
Very versatile ancient Frech Herding breed. The breeder I'm getting mine from (in the Netherlands) shows her dogs, as well as herding, IPO (SchH), agility, frisbee, bikejoring, dog freestyle (dance) and of course obedience. One is black and red, and the other will be Harlequin. |

Hi. I have Beaucerons for about 20 years. Ours are working bloodlines, but some are shown as well. I was trying to add some pedigrees to the database, but having trouble getting past the 2nd generation...keeps entering the dogs all individually.

I don't think it's harlequin, it's "merle" Am I wrong?
Anyway lover of Beauceron , born and raised in France, raised with Beauceron (not in our house but my aunt had one) I absolutely love the breed. I was never able to own a Shepherd of my own growing up so the first dog I got was a Bordeaux and a GSD. Now I am back to the Beauceron and shopping for one.I did find a breeder in California that seem to have her stuff straight and at least I can go and see them. But anyone here that knows a very good breeder that is here in the states? I go to France every 2 years to visit my family, but I do want to support our breeders here first, after all they have imported their stock anyways. Looking to get male or female . I compete in Schutzhund now, titled all of my dogs looking to title my Beau as well.
