Hi there sorry if I’ve posted this in the wrong place I’m new to this. I’m situated in London and am looking for breeders in the England or anywhere in the EU like Germany or Poland to import a puppy. I’m after a chunky red and black puppy but I’ve not come across any good breeders around here, could anyone please help me out and how much I should be paying? Thank you

I will not recommend breeders unless I have dealt with them personally, but it might help other members if you explain what you intend to do with the pup. Just a pet, or a showdog, or working line dog.

I understand you are a novice. Do you know the difference between the black and red European show lines and the European working lines?

Try placing an ad in our classifieds, good luck and take your time picking the right breeder/puppy.

Thanks for the help! I don’t really know what the European show line is? But yes I do know about the working line. He will be a family pet, but have intentions of taking him to different training places for obedience, protection work etc is that okay?
Thanks

The black and red dogs are show lines, not working lines.

I do wish people would not make misleading absolute statements like that, Apple. Fortunately I have already put the OP straight on the preponderance - no more than that - of colours in certain lines; and he is asking about the UK, first & foremost, where there is considerably less separation into "Black & Red = Show, Blacks & Sables = Working dogs".
