This bitch pup looks like a long coat to me, and she looks the same at six weeks as your male pup. She's three months now, but she doesn't really have much feathering around her ears and feet. Both her parents carry the long coat gene, and she's definitely got longer fur than her siblings (females pictured together at three weeks).

SS, I was joking. Not talking of ASLs at all- talking about the BYBs and their 140lb, 32" tall straight-backed dogs who also have zero angulation and they claim they are "HD free" because "their backs aren't sloped" and other nauseating nonsense. Just generalizing about the types who use those terms. Think "King Shepherd" and all those abominations.
