I am glad to hear that your dog has started eating. My German Shepherd went off food for a couple of weeks when he was around two years old as he was very sick (vomiting, etc.). I took him to the vet twice, and he was put on a special diet which unfortunately didn't work. It was very  difficult to get him to drink water or eat after that as he associated the nausea, etc. with water and his food. I cooked whole chickens and fed him   broth. I gradually added chicken and then rice. Eventually, I added his dog food into this mixture. k

The above worked for my dog, but I realize your dog did not appear to be sick. It is still very worrisome whenever they take themselves off food for whatever reason.

My female GSD was raised on Origen LBP which she suddenly stopped eating around 10 months old; I switched to Origen 6 fish and a few other brands of kibble but her response was unmoved. At that point I was encouraged to move to raw and since then we have not turned back. She currently consumes about 75-80 lbs of raw per month. I have used a few brands of raw , and have kind of settled on  a formulation from a  PA  supplier. This supplier produces several different  complete formulations such as  fish, lamb, beef, duck, chicken , turkey, rabbit,  and a medley ( working dog sport mix ). Custom formulations are available for dogs with certain allergies. Since switching to raw , the dog has loads more energy. To maintain her condition  she does  25 daily  200 m sprints to chase and retrieve a 12 inch baseball, and this has given a very nice development to her  hind section and very firm " waist " muscles.

Maybe the OP can try going raw.
