Help with Pedigree - Page 1

Hello, my name is Jonathan and I'm new to the site and have a couple of questions regarding pedigree registration and editing the gallery.
First off here is a link to my pup's pedigree:

As you can see the pedigree lineage is missing some info on the dam's side. I got my AKC pedigree in the mail today and that info is provided for three generations prior. My question is am I allowed to enter that information on this site even though I am not the owner of this dogs?

My second question is about the gallery. When I click on the "create new gallery" after entering all the descriptions and uploading a picture nothing happens. The gallery doesn't get created or saved. I AM using a cellphone for editing, but I can't see how that could be the issue.

Most dogs are not entered by their owners because when entering a dogs pedigree, especially a 5 generation one, you usually are entering dogs who are no longer living. Think about it. How did we get all these dogs entered who were born 20, 30, 40, 100 years ago.? Their owners certainly did not enter them. You do not have to own a dog to enter it into PDB, just have accurate data and enter that. Entering a dog in PDB does not mean that you own the dog, just that you created the pedigree in PDB.

PDB has been having a problem with uploading pictures.  I have not recently tried to enter a gallery, so am not certain what exactly is happening with galleries.  You can PM me with the information and then email me the pictures.  One thing, after trying to upload, did you refresh the screen.  Often PDB does not tell you that something worked, but once you refresh the screen you will find that it did indeed work.

Thanks for the timely response, Fantom76. Yes, it makes perfect sense, I just didn't see any rule on it in your original guideline post. I did refresh the page and reenter / reupload everything twice, as well. It seems almost as if there's a problem with the "radio button" labeled "create new gallery" itself. Normally when I click on a button such as that the loading status bar at the top pops up and shows a new page's loading progress, but in this case nothing happens. Anyway, I'll try again in a bit from my laptop, if I still can't get it to work I'll pm you, as I'm sure you're busy. Thanks again for the info and help!
