http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2772016-maggie-magpie-v-mia-mie-sorelleThank you for the compliments on the pup, he just about 8 months, his mother my mag pie, and his father is Brutus, http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1883997-brutus-vom-mia-mie-sorelle, from my Kevin Murrtal boy Duke, and kali.

I got both dogs off here, and i also gained the wisdom to put together these lines, i also found Parrish and my Bomber girl on this site, and let me tell you, i been putting out some mighty nice pups. Half the time i don t even put pics of them up because i am already bogged down with puppy people, wanting pups. So i do have this place to thank for that, took me a minute but i figured it out. I have 3 dogs from my breedings that are certified police k9 in New York, several doing IPO, one that won the lure coursing competition, and several that are in just good old everyday family homes as members of the family, i also have several people that have multiple joni dogs in their homes. I really have been blessed with great health on all my dogs. Again, thanks to the stuff i learned here, research, research and more research.

So all the trials and tribulations here paid off. I know some great people i met here also, so again, Thank YOU

GSD admin-

It would be great if we could have a impromptu vote here, or on on a new thread, about adding the likes/dislikes or agree/ disagree buttons.

I just think it opens a whole can of worms...

☠️ - makes people competitive
☠️ - maybe more combatitive
☠️ - and subconsciously stresses just slightly.
☠️ - It will elevate some posters, and crush others with different opinions that might also be valid, but are just the road less traveled....or playing a sometimes necessary devils advocate role. Or that just think outside of the box sometimes.

I do understand if the final decision rest with Oli.

What thinks everyone?

I think if it were my decision, and it’s not, but if it was, I’d NOT bring it back.
If a person feels strongly about something let them express their opinions publicly by posting.
If they are not willing to “own” their opinions, or their likes/dislikes then I’m not personally interested.
That’s me 😊

One more thing,
Anonymous support can be misleading and can give less knowledgeable on lookers the idea that the majority rule is right, I’ve found that the majority typically is wrong.
I would prefer one show of support by a quality opinion then ten shows of support by a group of ding dongs 🤣😊

Thats like on some of the Facebook pages about German Shepherds, one person will declare a totally bogus thing, is fact, and then you have the others backing up the bogus info and the less informed take it and run with it.
Quite often they get called out by some of the know it alls, that also are clueless what the real deal is, and then i go and me being me, call everyone a bunch of morons. Not that i trying to be a bully, but i really don t do stupid too good.i am talking when they go on the side of totally off the wall, and i can t take it when they say their dogs are this bloodline and there nothing even to give them an iota of an indication thats what the dog is.
Things like that get me, but you see 20 likes to the comment.

I really liked the agree/disagree button.

I don't care about posters, friendships, or else (not that difficult - I only know a single few of them personally).
For me the content is important, not the poster, and for a non native English speaker it's way easier to press a button than to repeat the same stuff once again in Pigeon English 😀.

A lot of people do read the topics of this forum, but they don't post out of any reasons - but they pressed the agree/disagree button...

Everything right about possible friendships, stupidity of majorities, even plain laziness,
but I still do believe in intelligence, fairness, and a wealth of knowledge on this forum...

Once again, I liked the button...

well, seeing as how most every thread has the same 4, 5, 6, main contributors and many times 5000, 10,000 and up views, I would be very interested in seeing what all these silent thousands think.

so, if there is a vote, I'm for the agree/disagree (or like/dislike). it would at least give those not wanting to go public an avenue to express their opinion. and not wanting to go public is certainly ok.

there is obviously intense interest in this forum from all over the world. there is just not intense participation for whatever reason. the "button" would give many people the chance to participate. what could it hurt to give it a trial.

jmo,
Rik

edit to add, looks like susie and I posted pretty much the same thing at exactly the same moment. it's oviously true "great minds think alike"Teeth Smile

Like Susie says (and you don't have to be a non English language speaker to feel this) its way easier to press a button than to repeat the same stuff ...
If a poster has something more to add to the discussion, they will post. If they agree with what is being said but cannot add anything useful, why not just allow them to "agree" ?
