Hi Joan! LOL yes I do.

Remember also his shovel ready jobs?

You can keep your doctor.

His lies are all over the internet.

The only president worse than Jimma Carter IMO.

Joanro, I was using the current trend of temperature in Florida to illustrate the general climate change.  It has been getting hotter each year, with each year breaking the year before records for heat.  It is all a byproduct of global climate change.  Look at the link I included, it uses scientific evidence based facts to back up the claims of climate change and debunk the denier's claims.

20 Years of Winter Cooling Defy Global Warming Claims

James Taylor

James Taylor Contributor

I am president of the Spark of Freedom Foundation.

Winter temperatures throughout the United States are in a 20-year cooling trend, defying alarmist global warming predictions and debunking claims that warmer winters are causing environmental catastrophe.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) data, presented by the International Climate and Environmental Change Assessment Project, reveal this winter’s exceptionally cold winter was merely the continuation of a long-term cooling trend. The trend line for the past 20 years shows more than two degrees Fahrenheit of cooling in U.S. winter temperatures since 1995.

The two decades of cooling temperatures defy alarmist assertions that global warming is causing warmer winters. The Weather Channel presented a typical example of such bogus winter warming claims in a December 13, 2013 article, titled “Winters Getting Warmer In U.S., But Precipitation Trends Are a Mixed Bag.” At the very top of the article, The Weather Channel posted a map of U.S. winter temperature trends from 1970-2012, produced by the alarmist website Climate Central. Virtually the entire map is colored various shades of red, reflecting an asserted winter warming trend during the period. The map is accompanied by an insert claiming U.S. winter temperatures rose 0.61 degrees Celsius between 1970 and 2012.

As U.S. Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) data show, The Weather Channel and Climate Central engaged in deceptive and unscrupulous cherry-picking to mislead readers into thinking a long-term cooling trend was actually a long-term warming trend. The NOAA data referenced and linked above show winter temperatures have been cooling for the past 20 years. U.S. Historical Climatology Network data show the cooling trend extends back even further, all the way to 1930. Nevertheless, The Weather Channel and Climate Central deliberately chose an outlier year, 40-plus years ago (1970), with a winter much cooler than other years immediately before and after, and compared it to a recent outlier year (2012) with a winter that was much warmer than other years immediately before and after.

As the NOAA and USHCN data show, almost any way you slice and dice the data, the United States is in a long-term winter cooling trend. The period 1930-2014 shows cooling. The period 1995-2014 shows cooling. The long-term trend line from just about any other year to the present shows cooling. Nevertheless, a very few data points can be cherry-picked to give the illusion of winter warming, so that’s just what The Weather Channel and Climate

The Progressives view this as a cause of global warming.

Mindhunt, you are talking about localized weather....remember, there's a difference between climate and weather.
The reason you are experiencing higher temps is most likely because of the expansive growth and paving over, concreting over and solor pannles of every last inch of the wilderness and orange groves and so much of the Everglades destroyed....it's local, mindhunt. That is not climate change.

Joanro, Excessively warm temps is a symptom of climate change. If you have read my previous posts you will see I get the difference between climate and weather.  Besides urban and rural areas are showing the same temperature increases and excesses.  However I see that no amount of factual science and consensus among the majority of scientists, climatologists, anthropologist, and all the other experts will change you mind so peace out and we will see in the end.

Well then, I supposed the opposite is true. We are going to have a foot of snow this weekend and it isn't even winter yet. It was in the high teens this morning...that's cold for these parts even in dead of winter, never mind fall!
So it's not global warming, it's global COOLING...we are going into an ice age!!!!! Yikes!

Noooooooooooo! Climate change can produce cold spells. Lots of snow, lots of extremes but in the end it is still getting warmer over time. Look at the storms, frequency, strength and 1000 year events happening more regularly. This says a lot about what is happening to the WEATHER. But like Mindhunt says sometimes no matter the facts or the evidence some are going to stay stuck in the past even as their political party is now starting to believe. You don't need to believe for climate change to keep right on getting worse, it doesn't care whether you believe or not. If you live long enough, you will come to believe as things continue to change at an ever alarming rate. Some still believe in Santa Claus, some in God, its okay because those believers are going to keep on keeping on whether you believe or not. BTW, please do not try and bait me with your posts, you know who you are, it won't work.

So ... Sir David Attenborough is enslaved to the US federal fiscal system, is he ? And he hasn't travelled all round the planet, experiencing the problems, loss of habitat, excess emissions levels, dying creatures, for himself, to make TV programmes ? That is just one person on the list of those saying we have real problems, and must take actions which reduce those problems. I think some posters here should wake up and smell the java. You all want to stick your heads in the sand and hope it all goes away - hope none of you have grandchildren ?, people who insist on this "Its not happening, or if it is, it's being wrongly labelled, and we don't have to do anything about it" are not helping to preserve as much as we could, for as long as we could.
