Clever dog. Nice take-down. Hope her mouth is okay now.


BUT can someone who knows American Police work please explain to this British person, when the dog had done her job so well and the guy was lying there, wasn't offering resistance, why was it necessary for the other officer to punch this suspect so many times ?

Hund, he was passively resisting arrest. While he wasn't wrestling actively, he was keeping his arms stiff, which means he wasn't able to be put in handcuffs. They did what they had to do to get handcuffs on him.

But he was resisting when hit then he quit and the officers quit. This was on the news a lot and blown up so one could see every thing

Okay guys I'll take your word for it that he was still resisting from a prone position - didn't see it close enough to spot that. Big of a thin line between LEOs needing to sock someone, and sitting as judge & jury and punching repeatedly if not necessary ? Hate to see that happen over here too, fortunately not often.
