You have a problem with the way we do things???  PM me don't bring it to the board.

Your whole post is not what I would call polite let alone friendly and conducive to a quality discussion

How is asking for clarification not conducive to a quality discussion? OP posted a video that didn’t show a single IPO exercise. Joan made a statement that the dog would easily achieve an IPO1 and I wanted clarity on why she had that belief. The confusion was that she posted it about her own dog after yet another video of a dog doing nothing that has to do with IPO yet the statement was made “easily get IPO1.” Was wondering what a poster sees in certain dogs that makes them believe that a dog would EASILY GET IPO1. Last I checked, there were two other phases in IPO, but I might be wrong there too.

Not going to fight the friendly alliances, run your board the way you see fit. My apologies. Off topic...but is it possible to get a list of "acceptable" insults that I can fling at other members that won't get me warned or anger the mods?

Considering the amount of discussions we've had lately about titling dogs and how special people are able to get the same information without titling the dog, I was extremely curious as to what exactly was presented in the video clips that led the special people to come to the conclusion that the dogs presented would easily be titled and therefore were just as good without having to take the actual test.

Why not read the thread and you will see that was ASKED and  Joan ANSWERED

by Bavarian Wagon on 17 May 2017 - 13:05

I see what was answered, from the two clips, I didn't see anything that says "easy IPO1." Since there are clearly more experienced and amazing people on this forum, I was looking for more clarity about what they see that lets them come to that conclusion. I'm trying to figure out what it is that people see in the United States that leads them to make the claims that they do about not having to title dogs because they just know better than anyone else. Just trying to learn from the masters is all.

I shows that you did not read the whole posts or you just want to make snide remarks

Bad move I have been up 36 hours don't have much time for those who are looking for trouble.

Once again I come back after a break from this board becasuse I got tired of discussions that devolve into name calling and insults only to find what looks like an interesting thread, which devolves into name calling and insults.  Whatever happened to the art of respectful debate?  I know it isn't taught in schools anymore but many of us come from the era when it was............smh

by Bavarian Wagon on 17 May 2017 - 14:05

Mindhunt...questioning anyone is clearly considered impolite. Hard to debate when you're not allowed to question things that particular people state.

Guys, I just wanted to show my dog under a little bit of environmental pressure...

by duke1965 on 17 May 2017 - 16:05

just curious BW, how long would it take for you to see if a young dog is suitable for club level IPO 1/2/3

by Bavarian Wagon on 17 May 2017 - 16:05

Suitable? Pretty fast. EASY IPO1...that's a different story. Too many people think it's easy and then fail. A trial is a trial...
