Day 13 is prime time for breeding--usually (not always), my GSD females ovulate between day 12 and day 14.

I personally think a 9 month old shouldn't have a litter--it robs her of nutrition as she is starting to mature and she may not be as good a mother because herself is so young.

A vet familiar with repro medicine for dogs can ultrasound to confirm pregnancy, and then give her a shot that will cause her to resorb the puppies. The repro vet I work with says that it does not affect the female's ability to have future litters.

I gave that injectetion to abort .to a female akita she got caught at about 12 months . Worst thing I ever done female lost her fur lost weight over all was not good for the dog . She would have had a much easier recovery if she had the pups . I would never give that treatment again .

Separating a bitch from a male while keeping them on the same property is VERY UNFAIR to the dog's. Both of them. Separation means away from each other, even if it means you have to PAY to separate them.
