Any body knows what is the meaning of these results in a German Shepherd from Great Britain: Hips 8:5 (13); Elbows 2:0??

I don't know the meaning of those numbers?

What is the equivalent with SV nomenclature?

Thanks in advance,

Lola

Copied from the web:

"Each hip joint is assessed by BVA/KC scrutineers who assign points based on nine aspects of each hip joint. The degree to which a dog is affected by hip dysplasia is represented by a score given to each hip. This score ranges from zero to 106 (zero to 53 for each hip), with a score of zero representing the least degree of hip dysplasia and 53 representing the most."

I believe it's done as Left:Right. So the dog's left hip got an 8, left elbow got a 2, right hip got 5, and right elbow got "perfect" 0. I'm just answering since nobody else has yet. Hundmutter would be the go to person for better information since I'm not very familiar with this system.

Generally, a more or less even score of 13 would be fn and a 2 on the elbows would be nz or possibly fn.

To the original poster:

FN is "almost normal" and NZ is "still allowed."
