correct VK I send dogs to Australia army/swat and they only take oversized mali mixes, the Giants so to speak, but they are exeption

@ suzie, the amount of pedigree malinois in KNPV is minimal, I sold 2 pedigree malinois that titled PH1 last year, and have some more there now but that club is one of the few that want pedigreedogs , most think they are not good enough and too expensive

breeder perle de tourbiere is breeding several pedigree dogs that title and also arracks home, also Carmen, cant think of her kennelname now

dutch shepherds with pedigree we see some in IPO, (le dobry and vastenow) but dont know of any titling in KNPV

think Birgit Hall got some KNPV pedigree malinois now and some pedigree dutchies

Mal, I never said that there are showline Mals in KNPV - I just recognized that there is the same split within the breed as it is within the GSD breed ( ongoing process ).

I only tried to point out that ( as far as I was able to research )
the dogs within KNPV became bigger
the dogs within KNPV became heavier
the formerly famous KNPV breed "Malinois" is already split into show / working lines.

Don´t misunderstand me, I believe people in Belgium and the Netherlands are still doing a great job - but they are walking down the same road as we have been walking with the GSD, they are still moving, but there will be the same end in case they are not very carefully.

The "KNPV" dogs became popular world wide, and a lot of breeders is trying to satisfy the increasing market, but the "market" does have different goals than law enforcement, and the "market" is willing to pay more money.

susie, the famous KNPV malinois has been a mixed breed for long time, so no showlines there

BM is deluded if he thinks that knpv and mal/dutchies won't go down the exact same path as the border collie, beagle, Labrador, doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, DDR, czech........history is too strong to deny.

Its already well on the way, the amount of mals with knpv ancestry that are being selected for pet and show temperament since bin laden capture and shows like alpha dogs is off the charts.

Demand here is high for pets and show male/dutchies that have any claim to knpv no matter how fake or distant.

The dutch will cash in just like anyone, sorry BM, money always wins.

Sorry VK you have to better your homework the deline fro other breeds have more a genetic reasons( working, menthal , health problems) with too many showline influence and too much line breeding from famous lines this gives a lot of health problems and showline dog have big influence for the the deline of working dogs FCI breeds have a closed pedigree, KNPV is more open also for other breeds.

The KNPV malinois is never been a showdog   and you will never seen him in any showring
also the KNPV ,malinois/dutch shepherd have more different genes from other breeds in them and is relativ more healthy

I don,t say the KNPV malinois or dutch shepherd is perfect it isn,t....
And yes there are still  a lot of money people around but this is already for more than 30 years....

For KNPV people the working properties will always be the most important thing not how beautyfull the dog is.

Holland is a very litle country and KNPV is also very small but the dogs are for 100 years a sucess in a lot of police and military departments worldwide and is not created for pet people

But hey this topic was start with the son of Bomber Wolfsheim have anybody seen him climbing on the 2 meter KNPV wall..........?

FCI Dutch Shepherd  in KNPV you will seen them in Treekszicht, Vastenow, Pioniershof,Le Dobry,
Bloermastreek,v/d Wolfskauw, But I,m for sure they have used also cross dutch shepherds in them.

The FCI dutch shepherds there are only 5000 long-short-rough coated registered worldwide   the  FCI dutch shepherd falls under the rare breeds.........

I forget to say there some awsome nice youngsters today  GSD in the KNPV

this looks very promising for the future

BlackMalinois, I'm sending you a PM. Sometimes I don't notice them so I wanted to let you know to check. I have a question about getting a dog trialed for her PH1.

That dog doesn't look big to me...just fat

I was thinking the same Xeph.

I couldn't keep watching. It hurt my eyes to watch him complete the tasks he was being asked to. I don't understand how his handler cannot see how his dog is struggling. It saddens me. That dog will most likely suffer the consequences too. :-(
