A murder, unauthorized breedings..... holy shit.

Anyhoo if you don't have the time to train your own dog, dont buy a dog.

Only reason this crap happens in dog world is because of the enablers....usually trying to do things on the cheap to later make money on.

Yep, the bitch that is a "trained" personal protection dog, knows "here".

Andre and Amelia. ..Remember it only to well Nan's...
Forever burned in my mind...And that piece of crap keeps a rolling on to the next sucker, at the expense of the dogs involved....Last I remember, he had dogs stacked in his garage in OHIO, with Ms. Molly turning one over to him for rehab....Yeah....There some real scumbags in the dog world

Nobody ever thought to shoot Corey ????

I remember the Nitro case ( the rottweiler that Cory starved to death, along with a number of other dogs). Was that the same scumbag that had the bitch with the infected/cancerous teat?

70 counts of animal cruelty, and the guy is only sentenced to 4 months...God!! Oh, and according to a post on the PDB, he's back training dogs again, in violation of parole... Angry Smile

Wow, this is the second crazy story I have read about on PDB in a week. I can truly say it was the right decision to join this forum in an attempt of finding the current social environment around the breeder/trainer/owner dog atmosphere. What I never expected was that certain events would go over the top like this circumstance and the other one, I read about.

In defense of this site, my experience to-date has been one of very helpful, tremendously educated and professionally devoted people extending almost family acceptance for guidance in resolving any situation related to content of this site.

I believe taking self-responsibility and having open communication in the PDB community will stifle these types of people and their scams from being able to organize on this site.

Note to self, due–diligence, due-diligence and more due-diligence then backed up by in-depth questioning and confirmation within the PDB community.

I still got my eye on a couple promising GSD prospects.

??? HUH?

What does this site have to do with the guy who scammed the OP?

I don't get the "in defense of this site" comment at all. This site needs no defense. It had nothing to do with the situation.

Well I assume this guy was actively soliciting for business on PDB and that helped establish a legit business and enable the perception of trust. Is this an incorrect evaluation ?.

Then based on my previous statement, I was defending the site with respect to my personal experience and reinforcing the positive atmosphere I have encountered, as apposed too this controversial subject matter.

K9 Enthusiast, there's a difference between people who post in the forum here, and those that post ads. If you hang around the forum any length of time, you will see enough questionable ads that you will be very, very cautious about buying a dog or service from the ads.

That being said, one of the dogs I now own was purchased from an ad posted on this site, and the other one came from a site member who posted puppy pictures.

You already know the rules, and are following them: DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST when purchasing a dog! LOTS of homework!

The forums here are a great resource for trying to separate out the good breeders from the bad.
