Hi all,
Im after abit of help and advice which im sure many can assist. I have my 20 month old german shepherd who i got at 7 werks old. He is training as a personal protection dog and does great however the area he lacks is intensity on his bark and hold. He will bark repeatedly on command but with 2 problems. 1st is if the "helper" is passive and i have asked the dog to kick off at them he wont. He has very good nerve and so as he sees no threat he will maybe gove the odd high pitched bark or nothing he will just look at them. This leads to the second issue if he is enticed to bark at them and the helper threatens then he puts his deep bark on and will switch on. However as soon as the helper stopd agitating he stops barking even if commanded to carry on.

We have tried empowering him so making the relevant move backwards on good barks etc but any advice you can give ?

Thanks so much.

To give a idea ultimately with trainng i hope to get him to this level:

maybe better post a video of what your dog is (not) doing, as every dog is different, every dog need different approach to get to the desired level of training, if he has it in him

so showing where you want to get is good, but showing what you got is better
