So this means, out of six dogs competing, Hans got second place with dog, Varo, who was already a well trained dog when he got him? What does OT mean in PSA speak?

GSDfan says: And the other post regarding equipment> I didn't say you don't use equipment at all (I saw your videos). I use equipment during foundation grip work no matter what direction is planned to go with the dog...which you consider "sport". Perhaps I didn't use enough words.

Hans says: You are still missing my point.  The important  word here is target I do not consider all equipment work "no matter which direction the training is going" to be sport.  I use equipment in civil training all the time.  And civil training is not sport. But I use equipment only after the default is established for the dog to target the man . Equipment is then used only as a protection of the decoy and not something which dog should target like it is done in sport and subsequently sportism.

Teaching dog to target equipment is in my opinion totally counterproductive and more importantly unnecessary  to development of a civil dog. Civil dog in my opinion should be taught to always target the man.

LOL Beetree you are just trying too hard. Is it my fault that only so many dogs from entire country qualified  to  PSA Nationals ? Those were the best PSA had to offer. As far as Varo's training goes I trained him PSA form ground up. Nobody else train Varo PSA. Same way and more so for  dog Fox. You  are constantly trying to cast a shadow on anything I do from your key board surrounded by your untrained pet dogs.  You should change purpose of your life.   I am done respondig to your hate.

OT = owner trained

In such (schH, NOT such! Frggin spell ck changed after i hit submit!) they ask HOT = handler/ owner/ trained

According to that document, pass is determined by % of points acquired. Eg, first place dog made 83.4% of points possible.

duke said: GSD fan, in germany and czech, dogs need to be titled to be able to breed with them, that doesnot change their genetics or balance of drives, IMO, therefore still disagree with hans no matter how much he writes

Then Duke says:@ Hans, disagree with what you ask,, your statement of this topic

Duke could you explain to us how because  "dogs need to be titled to be able to breed with them, that doesnot change their genetics or balance of drives"

applies to your disagreement with what I am saying about sportism? it just does not make any sense no matter how short your answers are.:)

Thanks Joan. So, second place was won with 57.1%  But, there is no Pass or Honors, as well, so the PSA2 title shows "N", but at the same time, it is then listed as: PSA Nat'l Awards for 2004. This is a bit contradictory and confusing to me! Maybe you or GSDFan can explain it to me? I would need an unabridged complete Hansisms dictionary to understand Prager.

@Hans. Au contraire, it is you trying too hard, it took you mere seconds to cover my post with yours. Really shows a lack of confidence. Just sayin'. I am doing my due diligence in searching for the truth by looking for and at that stuff, that is invariably, left out.

Bee, it's dazzle em with brilliance, or baffle em with bullschite.

Duke~'GSD fan, in germany and czech, dogs need to be titled to be able to breed with them, that doesnot change their genetics or balance of drives, IMO,...'

I agree, titling itself doesn't change genetics or drives...only thing that can change that is the selection process by breeders.

by joanro on 22 May 2016 - 15:05

Lol, bee.
That document put n for pass on everybody. It put n for awards as well.
There is no PSA within 50 mi of me. I've been interested in it since it started, so I don't know any more than what that document says.

If PSA is like IPO or sch, a person can go to the regionals, for example, to title their dog, say, for IPO i. Doesn't mean they qualified for the regional competition. But a person could still say they 'competed' at the regionals, if they were so inclined.
