Hello. I'm looking into possibly getting a puppy out of 2016 breedings sired by Drago and Quintus, so I was looking for information on what they're producing.

I'm looking mostly for cons since it's very easy to find pros. Hip dysplasia, bloat, allergies, temperament, and anything else of that nature.

The dam hasn't been chosen for the Quintus breeding yet, and I'm looking at getting a puppy from the Drago x Amalka breeding from VDH.

I know puerile can be harsh if they think a question is stupid, but I would kindly ask if you don't have anything nice to say, move along. Also, yes, I am experienced with training (obedience) and have owned German shepherds before. I'm also planning on moving to a house on 22 acres of land near the end of the year, and I'm experienced in owning and raising two dogs at once.

Hmm. I'm not sure why, but it's not letting me edit that error in my last post. I'm writing this on my phone, so I'm going to make some spelling errors due to auto corrections.

Puerile should be people.

I will be interested to know their weaknesses as well. Drago produced some great dogs mainly in Eastern Europe (Slovakia and The Czech), whereas Quintus mainly in the Western Europe. Drago came to the US about 2 or 3 years ago, he should have some litters that are 2 or more years old in the US. Should be able to tell if he still produces as good as he was during his prime in Slovakia.

I owned Amálka for 3 years, I'd be happy to tell you what she brings to the equation as a producer. In a word, she is phenomenal. Life circumstances forced her sale to Dari and I wished they hadn't.

I will tell you that I know the waiting list for puppies from her and Drago is extremely long already and I have a personal friend who has already been on it for a long time and the litter she had at the end of the year with them only produced 2 puppies and one was a long coat. Drago is like 12 years old.

Feel free to contact me privately if you have any other questions.

edited.. apparently Drago is dead now. very unfortunate.

Yes, Drago is gone, but Dari preserved his semen, so he will still be able to produce future litters.

my point was that the litter she had already with him and Amálka only produced 2 puppies.

I had two litters with Amálka producing 8 and 6 puppies.

With the price of those puppies and the risks of those breedings (frozen AI), I would be pretty hesitant.. but that's just a personal choice. Maybe look into a nice Drago son that's being bred instead?

I can´t give any informations about the dogs, but what does "VDH" mean in case of the breeding?
This would mean a German breeding, SV doesn´t allow semen, even with RSV2000 it´s difficult.

I have a Quintas son, "Mack vom haus Valkenplatz". He is outstanding in every respect.. super protection work but also super social and brilliant with my grandchildren, he has a unique "On and Off" switch which suits us real well and he also produces this. There are few offspring in the UK out of Quintas but what is here is very good. My Mack has so far produced over a 100 pups here, currently 48 with UK Police, all doing exceptionally well, more importantly some of his sons and daughters are also producing Police dogs and are being used in Police breeding programs. I have recently started freezing his Semen as we don't want to lose what he is producing. Tony Cronin
