i wonder what you gain with all your questions? i wonder if you have any inside or experience? i wonder where you live? and i wonder why you can not answer your questions by yourself.

google will help you or do you like more gossip or do you really want facts.

please do not take it the wrong way but it gets a little boaring to read all your questions

by vk4gsd on 01 March 2015 - 02:03

bundi, why not contribute something here, you make thread after thread wanting to know the best this and that like breeding dogs is making car parts.

are you a breeder?

if yes, would love to see the peds in the dogs you bred.

if you are not a breeder what is it you are trying to gain by all these threads?

by hexe on 01 March 2015 - 02:03

It just seemed a fitting response, after the previous thread on stud dogs teetered on becoming raucous.

Bundishep, I am not so much in agreement with Staatsmacht as far as the inquiries being boring, but I also wonder what your purpose is for revisiting this line of questioning so frequently. Are you doing research in advance of getting another dog? Trying to decide on a potential stud dog for a bitch you have, or a friend has? Or just shaking the couch cushions to see what falls out?  If people had some notion as to WHY you're asking, the discussions might become more productive overall...

by Staatsmacht on 01 March 2015 - 02:03

how does it make sense at all. it gets boaring.  what is the proof for a good producer? one great son who makes studs,15 people who say they have great offspring or 2 dogs in LE.

that all is so washed out because the most people think the own dogs are the best ones, 5 month old puppies are great and all what you wish, 4 year old dogs with no training are great and 7 years old dogs who can protect the mail box are great.

by hexe on 01 March 2015 - 02:03

Staatsmacht, what makes a dog a 'good producer' depends entirely on whose measuring stick is being used.  Someone who is concerned only with hip quality would consider a stud who hasn't produced any dysplastic offspring to be a good producer, while someone else who is more interested in overall health and longevity would probably consider a dog with a majority of offspring that remain generally healthy and active well into their teens to be a good producer. Unless the guidelines are clearly laid out, it's nothing more than talk, talk, and more talk that means very little to anyone at all.
