Prager

Reggie FYI  the Quote is not meant the way you took it . The quote is meant for people who purchased something or have something which  they should enjoy and they or someone else, starts comparing it to other similar items. If that is done then that  will kill ( or steal)  their joy.  In my book not a nice thing to do.

What I meant was that  there are thousands of happy customers with Kimbertal dogs and you comparing their dogs to  some other more excellent dogs will, according to ancient wisdom,  kill their joy.  That is because no matter what there is there is always someone or something  better thus there is no point or virtue to compare something what someone already has to something  better which they could have. It is "thief of joy" ot "Kill Joy"

 Take care. :)

Hans on that we have no disagreement.  did you notice the post where I said they had their niche?  Like you said they have a good business plan.  I personally don't think breeding large quantities of any breed is ultimately good for the breed.  But that again is my personal opinion.  I don't expect everyone to share my personal opinions.

And Hans you who is rude with people and you are worried about stealing someone's joy?  what do you think happens when you are rude to people?

LOL I am working on it. The funny thing is that  for my directness and as you call it here bluntness  and speaking my mind In USA I  am considered rude.  In  Europe on the other hand  there is nothing wrong with being direct and speaking one's mind. As a matter of fact that is an standard. I never believed that people should guess what I am saying. But in USA it is frown o up on it . Oh Well.   But since when in Rome I am trying to tone down my directness.  LoL ...That turn me into El Camino.... not a good truck and not a good car. Here in USA I am considered still rude and in Europe when I talk, people look at me and are saying what happen to you you talk like  a  some 1/2 Sissy Wimp. As Arnold said Girly-man. Well there you are   I am 62 years old and maybe before I die I'll be considered polite in USA and be  complete Girly-man  in Europe.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  In the end I have never judged people by how they talked or how smart or dumb  they were. I always judge  people by what is in their heart. And I am the foremost expert on my heart and even so I think I do pretty well in that department but  rather then worry too much  what people think about me and how I talk  I think  I'll put my effort into still to better what is in my heart .... .

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As far as how  large amount of dogs relate to  quality in general (and  i am not discussing any particular kennel like Kibmbertal) . If you produce a large amount of quality dogs then it is great for genetic pool of a a breed. To deny that  would be illogical.

Comparison is using intelligence to make an intelligent decision. It has nothing to do with "thief of joy". If that is a quote of Teddy R. It is taken out of context and therefore meaningless.

LOL Of course you disagree. You must. I would be disappointed if you would not. You are steady in that as a beating drum.

I have bought 8 dogs from Kimbertal in the early 90's. I trained and sold 7. One I put too much pressure on and he bit me and I had to get medical attention and the city of Midland Texas put so many restrictions and requirements on me and the dog I had to put him down. These were all serious protection dogs and all of the knowledge I had at the time what what I read in a book. It's a wonder I did not get bit more. lol

I found the kennel clean, the people great and the wolves breath taking. I bought all of the dogs they had that were the type I was looking for and was 100% satisfied.

I am not around many Dobi's or Rotts (thank God) but the 8 I bought were as good as any I have ever seen and better then any I have seen the last 8 years. But keep in mind I am not a show or pet dog guy.

@Prager  I have bought many dogs from Europe and have spent a lot of time talking to the people there and from there, and you are the rudest ass I have corresponded or talked with to date. But would still love to see your dogs. I would imagine you are a much nicer in person. (because someone like me would kick your ass)  FYI I do not even go to you forum because you were an ass to me and did not answer my questions.

to Paul Garrison: I am not obligated to answer any questions and I do not read all the posts on my forum all the time and rather way. However I am trying my best to answer any questions of people on my forum.  But I did not know that it is my duty and purpose of my life to answer these questions. However if you have important questions then send e mail or call.  In any case you are mistaken   I have answered your questions on my forum some even so the  questions may not be easily  answerable.  Like who are the toughest dogs in our breeding program.  I  struggle with questions like that and I have told you  that  usually toughest dogs are from 2nd and 4th line and form some branches of 5th line. and that if you want tough dog then you need to go on individual pup bases.  It is not my problem that you did not see the answer.

I am sorry ......so you do not go to my forum because I am "rudest ass you corresponded with",  but you do not mind to call me Sunday afternoon and ask me dog training questions for almost 2 hours,... like you did yesterday? !!? What  am I missing here?  Good luck with your training and applications of my advices  and feel free to call me if you have questions. ( I really mean that. No hard feelings).

@ Hans

That is not completely true. I called you and asked you about a type of dog (civilly aggressive) and who is producing them and you told me you could make any dog that way. After 33 min. of your direct talking that I called rude I told you to kiss my ass and hung up the phone. Then you call me back. Quite frankly after talking to you the second time I have a better understanding of where you are coming from. I do not think you care if anyone thinks you are rude and you don't seem to mind being called an ass ( I been called that many times my self).  lol. You did provoke thought and you are right about me skipping a very important step in my training.
