Worldbeater... Go buy the #1 in the World, No guarantees on a pup ever !!! If you want a pup to take and go on with, Do your homework, Find out what lines you like/want do some more homework, Speak with a couple hundred breeders get a good feel for each of them, Visit the kennel's, Have fun, Do some more homework, And then Pray, Pray like heck the dog will turn out to be all you have worked & hoped for. Worldbeaters picking them as pups, You might as well line up 100 pups and open fire with paintball guns for 10 seconds, the ones that did or didn't get hit pick one. Worldbeaters is a pretty big aspiration, Not Impossible by any means, But pretty tall order and I don't know any breeder Respectible or CON that would promise that. Good Luck to you , I hope you find what you desire !

Hi All: Thanks for all the feedback and and also for pointing the mistakes in my posting. Its clear from my posting that I am a newbie in this forum. I had earlier contacted vomkammer kennels and also Bill Fleischerheim, so the price was listed. I know I should not have listed that....but well now the snake is out of the bag...so cannot do any damage control. (Lesson learned: NEVER do a copy and paste when posting messages in the Forum :-0) Here is my response to some of the feedback: I have done some research on kennels, but not extensive. I have seen pictures of several dogs and I am very clear what I am looking for in this dog. I have the space and will make the time for the dog. I am a family of 3 with a 3.5 yr old son, and since we are both working parents, the dog will be at home alone in the morning..... I have handled dogs since I was a kid...I am no expert so far as showing the dogs are concerned but I am also not a novice. Our family dogs have won awards in the Calcutta kennel Club in India. Only our poodles won the award, 5 best in breed and 2 best in show. But after our best in show dog passed away at an early age (6yrs), we stopped showing dogs in the shows. We also had GSD, but only one direct import from Germany (a long coat male GSD). So, I have had dogs since I was a kid, I know a lot about them, but I will still not proclaim, myself as an expert to differentiate between show quality and excellent pets, thats why I solicited the help of the "real experts" here. I am not in a rush, and so can wait to get the right dog. these days I have seen lots of people walking in the park or neighbourhood with their GSD, and I am seldom impressed. Recently I drove all the way from San Jose to LA to visit a very accomplished GSD handler/trainer/breeder and his dogs. We saw some of his dogs but was not able to see any of his studs. I hope I have been able to give enough information about my background....I still will look for a show quality male GSD, whether I will show the dog or enjoy it just as a pet, thats my choice !!! Thanks Kaushik

Dog 1: Thanks for your reponse. I read the articles that you indicated to me...very very informative and thank you. It also gave me some idea about how you differentiate between the litters regarding their show quality. I also understand that top breeders will not give their top litters to novices like me, but would prefer to find only "suitable homes" for them. Anyways, I do not intend to start showing my dog immediately....in future I do not know. But still I want to get, if possible, a top quality male short coat GSD, with excellent structure, temperament and red/black pigment. Basically I want to be very prowd of my dog. So far as training is concerned, I am interested to enlist myself in the local GSD training programs to learn.....maybe I will get help from Patiala :-) Thanks again. Mastan
