We had two Danes, Big and Pinky (already named when we got them), both rescues. Big was a huge fawn Dane and as sweet as they come, had an adorable personality, was a big goof ball...and a drooler. It was best to leave the area if he decided to shake his head because the slobber went everywhere. Pinky came from showlines and was a gorgeous fawn color, but she was unpredictable and unstable, which is probably why she ended up at the Dane rescue. She was very good with our family, but she randomly bit people in the rear, even if she knew them and had seen them in our house numerous times. It was really weird and we had to be very careful with her. She died from bloat at about 6 years of age. Neither Pinky or Big had the intelligence or trainability of the GSDs I have had.
