Well said, Jenni.

One has to read between the lines to understand this thread. It's the dog I feel for.

I agree with everyone who said get her into the house. I'm sure she would adjust to being a pet in a nice, quiet, stress-free environment (it would take some work, but I'm sure it would be doable) rather than living in her feces in a kennel with a dozen some-odd strange dogs flipping out. Not breeding quality for sure, but hey... what do you expect when you buy something cheap...

Off topic, but I liked the Cane Corso in that video... she looks like she would be a sweet, lump of a dog... :P

Totally agree, VKGSDs. I thought the kennel was disgusting, and the fact that she actually thought nothing of it and posted it on youtube is rather disturbing

And crawled in there x.x

I had a rescue foster with a messed up temperament very similar to the one in the video. Her kennel was constantly a mess for two reasons. One, because of the stress of being alive, she constantly was emptying herself. Secondly going into her kennel was very stressful for the dog. I think the stress of the clean up was worse than a dirty run. So she got her run cleaned once a day. Tough choices have to be made when you come from behind the keyboard.

Also, for those of you that "KNOW" that the dog would be better in the house, how do you "KNOW"? You don't. And I would never let this dog run around my house. Why would anyone let a dog that is terrified of them and growling at them run loose inside their house? I'm going to let this feral acting dog around my family and other pets? Do I put it in a crate? How do you get a dog like this in and out of said crate?

Too many of you are living in a world of magic and make-believe. This is a real life situation.

Two Moons

I'm sorry I even opened the thread.
Not gonna bitch about money or dog shit, but it breaks my heart to see this dog in this situation.
One more reason I do not believe in rescue's.

Depending on the time of day my kennels might look un-kept also, no problem there.
A camera will scare a dog as much as a gun in ones hand, if the dog has that kind of fear, what I wonder is how the dog got this way to begin with, it's not all or just genetics.

The house thing, that's totally idiotic by the way.

The dog needs so much work, it would be a real task.

So now what?
What's gonna happen to this dog now?
Perhaps I don't even want to know.

Poor dogs.

I doubt the camera is helping things - they can be scary for dogs... weird noises, bright, flashy lights, etc. Hell, I knew a dog that hated people wearing hats - would act the same way, and if you were to go into her house with a hat on she'd bark and growl and lunge... but the second you took the hat off, she was your best friend.

Listen also to the dislike in the voice of the videographer. You cannot tell me that the dog doesn't sense that, and that will not help things at all. It will take some work. Get her into a quiet house where she is the only animal, maybe a single, older lady, put her on a long leash to keep some control and just show her some freakin' kindness. SURELY she wouldn't have a 2 if she was AT LEAST not capable of being someone's pet. I'm curious if she's KKL'd?

So sad for the dog...

3500 is indeed an extremly high price for this dog, but for me it's the buyers own fault, stop paying those kind of amounts for dog's if you haven't seen them in real life buying dogs over the internet based on a paper title often given by a friend who happens to be a judge who has very poor eye sight on trial day's will keep on giving these results
what happend to this dog??? maby if you could check littermates or previous litters from mom or dad things could be more clearly, if they turn out about the same than this buyer has only to blame herself evenmore i think a lot of people here are right when they say buyer tried to get a titled bitch as cheap as she could to make the most money possible, thats why i believe this dog probably gonna be bred anyway probably by the closest cheapest stud available
does anyone know this dog's pedigree?

Olga Ashley

All I can say is I feel very bad for this poor girl, who knows how many times she has been passed around and what she has been through...she is barely dried up from her last litter, now again she is passed off and this time to somebody very displeased with her.  If she was always like this, I doubt anybody would have taken the time to show her, do x-rays, do any training, or bother to put any title on her, fake or not.  She was shown in Germany, http://www.landesgruppe7.de/fileadmin/PDF/News/Lothe.pdf, if she acted like this then I would think she would be excused from the ring and would not have made SG in the youth class.  I think in the right home and environment, she can be a good pet for somebody willing to put time in to earn her trust but in her environment now, surrounded by the stress of barking, loud, strange dogs she cannot thrive.  I do hope her prior owner will refund the money and take the dog back, for the dog's sake, but I doubt that will happen.  I hope at least she is given a chance to live the rest of her life out in peace with someone who will earn her trust and be patient with her.
