Just a thought on the prey drive.  This is the advice I was given with one of my pups to "help develop" the prey drive.
ADVICE I WAS GIVEN:
Use a flirt pole and tease the pup with it, but not let them have it.  Do this over a few weeks and the drive should increase.

HOW I TRANSLATED AND MODIFIED IT
I bought a horse whip and tied a small toy squirrel on it.  I would tease my pup with it, but not let her have it.  I only spent about 3 - 5 minutes each session.  I would then put the pole up and put the pup in her crate for quiet time (time for her to think).  After about 5 sessions like this, she would go nuts and try everything in her power to get to the squirrel.  At that point, I would let her "catch" the squirrel and do what ever she wanted for 1 -2 minutes; I would then take it away.

TODAY
She still goes nuts for that pole/squirrel.  Once she has it, heaven help anyone try to take it away without using the release command.  For us, this is just fun and games; we do not compete.  This is the only toy she will do this with, but she is only 13 months, so still plenty of growing up to do.

Hope this helps.  Good luck.
