I give salmon oil with every meal. I use the Grizzly stuff. I think its done a lot for his coat, its very soft and shiny now. Salmon oil is also supposed to be good for joints, skin, the brain and some even say depression. Anybody know the difference between salmon oil and cold water fish oil? Its seems the cold water fish oil is was more expensive, but why?

My veterinarian is a reproduction expert. He said there have beenstudies that showed that adding faaty acids(fish oil) not only blooms the coat, but feeding it on a regular basis to a female 2 months before heat, throughout pregnancy and lactation, the bitches produced 2.4 more pups per litter, and very consistent size, rather than having runts and big pups all in the same litter. SO my dogs are now on any kind of fish oil I can get my hands on, and they eat it fine.

I feed "BARF" 100% and add a teaspoon of Nu-Image twice a day @ feed time. You can buy it @ your local Feed Mill or Tack Shop. I use it on my race horses and the dogs look even better. :o)

Grizzly fresh Alaskan Salmon Oil is the best from what everyone keeps telling me and what I've seen - but I believe there are other brands. I just started using this INCREDIBLE dogfood called Canine Caviar - they have this canned beaver that is unbelieveable - it's like 1000 calories per can...I saw changes in 2-3 days (which I have NEVER seen results that fast before) - my male is shiny like I've never seen him...he looks like someone put glitter on his coat when he's in the sun! Anyway, don't need the salmon anymore.
