The problem with buying a dog and posting on this forum ( I have never posted on an any other forum ) is that soooo many people think their opinion is fact, and here are some things to think about. Should your dog come in the house? How much time should I play with my dog each day? What is hard? What is civil? When should a dog bite? ect ect ect. It is a dog. If you bought it is belongs to you. Do with it what you like. This is a America and we are free. Have your own opnion and let others have theirs. I talked to a man who has a dog on this site for sale and he does not post on the forum because of the aggressive, sharp, fear bitting, civil overly hard PEOPLE on this forum.  WOW if I had a dog that acted like SOME of the poeple on this forum I would shoot it because it is a danger to the public.

JUST BE NICE and others that want / need help or would just like to state their opinion can. I said can because some folks can not take abuse that is so freely given here.

I still do not have papers to dogs I bought 20 years ago. I bought and sold dogs that were not what I asked for ( IMO ) Over the years as well as now I have looked for a dog that is a Hard, Civil, Aggressive man stopper. AND....on this forum I was lamblasted. Why?
It's a funny thing about people, they run to Wal-mart for cheap products and bitch about how their employes are treated and how China treats their people.

JUST BE NICE

Mr. Garrison

Sir, your post title is not the nicest irregardless of the content value.

with all due respect

I'm all about being respectful of others regardless of whether or not I know them, but if you don't like the attitude on the forums don't post. You can complain all you want, but at the end of the day, the people that are sarcastic and condescending are probably not going to change the way they respond to you or anyone else. I personally feel like the wealth of knowledge available here from so many different people with varying backgrounds and experiences makes it worth hanging around.

Des87 good point....

In all the trash talking, there are those who are worth listening to.....its during the trash talk that you decide whose opinion you will take seriously next time...so there are benefits even in that. :)

"they run to Wal-mart for cheap products and bitch about how their employes are treated and how China treats their people."  LOL I love that. Unfortunately it is TOO TRUE.

Thumbs Up

Lady Frost  VERY good point;   Mr Garrison, most of the really wicked things said on here
are between ppl who have been messing and arguing with each other, on here, and
sometimes elsewhere,  for YEARS, and therefore not to be taken too seriously by those
outside this circle as they aren't aimed at 'noobs'.  Overall the majority of comments to
ppl who just come on to ask a question ARE helpful, and usually polite.  (Of course if
anyone comes to the board sure they already know the 'right' answer, they can be very
disappointed when experienced posters tell them what they don't want to hear.  But
that is always a risk you take when you seek honest opinions from strangers, who do
not owe it to you to 'sugar the pill' because they don't then have to attend BBQs with
you.)  And as Ibrahim says, you don't make any friends with a post topic title like THAT!

I don't really see anything wrong with the title of the thread nor the content he put in it. I do think it's a very valid point. More often than not I do see a lot of smartass remarks when people are looking for info on a given subject. Although, there are also a lot of good posts in a thread, sometimes it gets irritating having to sift through the bullshit to get to the posts that are of people actually trying to be helpful.

Just my thoughts.

BTW  you quoted someone who has a classified ad up to sell a dog,
but he won't post comments on the site 'cos he thinks we are all so
awful ?   SO why is he happy to sell his dog to people who visit PDB ?
Isn't he worried he will have to deal with someone 'nasty' over the sale?

This is exactly the kind of pot stirring the OP is describing. Thinking

No Michael it is a genuine question - why would anyone want to avail themselves
of a service they have so much  of a problem with ?   It isn't as if there is no alter-
native way to sell a dog.  In some ways you could argue that the seller is HIMSELF
STIRRING THE POT by making the generalisation in the first place.
