Molly I agree this story has so many air holes in it. I do not know Cory personaly but I know Trixx and have for a long time. She did keep in contact with him but then contact got less frequent not on her part but on his part. In fact this trial he was suppose to be taking the dog too a few weeks ago, he told her straight out not to come to it because he was worried she would distract him. Then when she found out he did not take the dog he said OH his retrieve was not where it should be, even though he proffessed to her that HE WAS READY?  He came up with this story about him running off after the cops had been to his premisses and your right why wait 6 days to inform the client their dog went missing? I pray that Teddy is still with us and that someone has him in their home because he is a nice dog, loves everyone or at least he did. I also want to know about this rumor about his dogs being taken away. This kind of things just gets me so angery. I am encuraging Trixx to get on this and get down there, because unless she see's things herself the wonder will always be there. I now maybe some of you think this was partially her fault and that is so far from the truth. If I send my dog to Germany to be trained I do not physically go and check on the dog. You stay in contact by phone or email and its not unheard of. As long as the owner was keeping up with the goings on of his training she was doing her part. Lets all keep crossposting and alerting everyone we can about Teddy and hopefully he will be returned. If any of you have more info about the dogs being taken away please PM ME!!!

I called the franklin county shelter, they said they only take in strays or dogs voluntarily given up by their owners, they don't deal with humane quality issues.  So then I called Capital Area humane society, which deals with animal abuse for our county...they said that they have not made any raids or taken any dogs from any trainers in the last few months.  I also called Fairfield county shelter, they also have not made any raids or received any dogs from any trainers, nor have they had any dogs come through there doors in the last month or so that matched Teddy's description.

So...I can't find any info to verify anything about dewberry having dogs taken from him by any shelter or humane officials.

One of my big concerns is that I have worked at an animal shelter and even though you give a good discription, and they say nope not there.   DON'T  trust that.  Way to often dogs come in under a discription that isn't even close.  Pictures is what they need.  and nothing beats actually looking for yourself.

I gave a generic description, just traditional black and tan intact male german shepherd, Fairfield said that they hadn't had any in the last few weeks.    Capital Area couldn't tell me what they had and Franklin county firmly requires that people come in to look for a dog, they don't give or accept any descriptions over the phone.

Try to call Kathy and Tim Wilmoth (maybe that is who Hexe is talking about) from Wilmothhaus kennels in Ohio.  They know pretty much everyone and they are former Law Enforcement there.  If you just Google Wilmothhaus you will get their telephone and email.  They might be able to help. Worth a try.
