My WGSL is black and red. He's quite red and people often kid with me about dying him, which of course he is not. Most WGSL are black and red, but some can be sable or more of a black and tan, and there are also dogs of other lines that can be black and red. The coat is just a normal coat. There are black and red long stock coats as well, like there are in any line or color.

Fawn, my Taz is nearly as 'red' [ well he is greying a lot now, which
masks it somewhat] as VKSGDS dog on the left. He is my Avatar if
you can see that (he was only about 2 yrs when that was taken).
He was bred in the UK from West German stock (Heavily Uran Wild-
steigerland).

Wow... Talk about stiff competition for me being set on getting a black GSD as my next one. Beautiful (no, no Fawnda, you have 5 dogs. That is plenty. Your husband will divorce you if you even hint at another dog. )
