WHAT makes some of those think that if the breeder takes it back its in the dogs' best interest to begin with?  he'll be put in a kennel probably if so.  So don't jump too fast. Its better if they put an ad on craigslist and screen their prospects very well.

I think the history of the dog, which many of us remember, is why some people think the breeder should take him back.

I haven't met the dog, so I don't know fact from fiction, but there are many rumors circulating about aggression issues with this dog. Aggression issues, combined with very low drive and the fact that a bunch of forum members chipped in for surgery for him when he was young makes him not all that desirable in many eyes.

As I said, I feel sorry for him. He, like all the others like him, can't help what they are, what they have been bred to be, and the idiots that surround them (yes, I said idiots again- idiots breed them, idiots give them up for moving, money, all sorts of stupid and not so stupid reasons and this is a GENERAL STATEMENT), and the dog always pays the price.

Jenn, what I don't understand is that many are talking about aggression issue when they in fact have never met the dog. As for the dog going back to the breeder, this is not an option as I wouldn't force anyone to take him back when they said they wouldn't which would only cause more issues with a said dog. What would have been nice is to have the breeder help with finding a home for him rather than to have her friends come here and other forums in which he has been posting to only comment as to why the breeder won't take him back instead of coming here and posting for herself. She didn't have a problem posting here 2 years ago pleading for all of you to help her boy and take your money to only sell him months later after the surgery was completed.  In my eyes if you can't afford something like this than you shouldn't be breeding in the first place.

Now saying that the widow is an idiot is rather harsh or spinless in my eyes.

Let me type more slowly.

I don't know Kelly. I don't like her breeding program. I didn't give her any money for his surgery. I thought it was extraordinarily tacky to ask for it. I am not her friend. I simply said there is more to this story (which I think you know, Chuck). I stated VERY CLEARLY that I DON'T KNOW THE DOG AND CANNOT DISTINGUISH FACT FROM FICTION ABOUT HIM. The fact remains that there are a LOT of rumors circulating about this dog. That's a fact.

As to your last comment, LOL. Martina doesn't speak English as a first language, so I can see where she may have not understood my statement, but even after I clarified and rewrote my GENERAL statement, you still don't get it that I'm not talking about the widow, LOL LOL. I don't know what "spinless" means, but I'm not going to worry too much about that.

I hope this poor dog gets a good home and I hope the adopter is told the truth. End of story. I do not care to continue to banter with you, Chuck. It all comes out in the wash.

Funny that the rumors are floating around and I haven't heard them, but then again they must have started from Kelly to start with, RIGHT?

We tend to forget that people sometimes just cant keep their dogs and need to rehome them. Posting them here (even with the crap that is posted about this dog) is a hell of alot better than dumping the dog at the shelter or any of the other horrible things Ive seen over the years when someone dies and the family is left with a dog they don't want or cant afford to care for.

Why must every post be a drama? Place the dog into a pet experienced home and be done with it. Hell if I wasnt out of work, I'd take the dog and it would settled.

Barb, would you really take this dog and give him a home?
If so, I am betting you could count on more than a couple of
us to make sure you had plenty of dog food for him etc. At least
until you get back to work etc.  Why not? Money was raised for
his surgery here, and now the dog needs a new home through
no fault of his own. If you really want him, I am betting this board
can work together to help you with that.Wink Smile
