The owners widow had contacted breeder and was told that she would come and take him, but only to get a call back weeks later telling the owner that she couldn't take him and I have posted this thread in a few other places also. She know all about Brix needing a home but refuses for what reason I don't know to help find him a home but rather send me nasty messages not to include her name or kennel or website. So as you all see I haven't included nothing about her or her kennel

Hey, do you want me to put it up on FB for you. Someone who is looking might see him. I have plenty of dog friends who might also know someone... ?

GSD Pack  You are welcome to post this thread where ever as long as we can find him a home. This thread is not meant to bash the breeder but to find this male a home. With the way the ecomony is I wouldn't doubt that she couldn't afford to take him back. Many of you all here may remember the thread that was made here a few years ago to help pitch in for the surgery needed at the time for his front leg and at that time the breeder wanted to do the right thing but couldn't afford the operation reguired.

If the breeder (for whatever reason) says she can't take him back, doesn't sound like the dog would be in a good place anyway. He has a far better chance of getting a home through other avenue's. Like here

Is this the same dog that needed foreleg surgery, which was facilitated finacially through donations from people on this forum???  'Cause I coulda swore that dog's name was Brix......

Edited to add:

Yep, just did a search on here, and Brix is indeed the dog that needed implants in the forelegs to correct developmental defects.  And yes, the breeder did post request on here for donations to a Chip-In site to help cover the costs of that surgery.

If the breeder is 'unable' to take this dog back now, it may be due to the three adults listed on her website as being available for adoption--one from her 'D' litter, born 2011, and two from her 'C' litter from 2010.  Perhaps all their "extra" kennel space is occupied with these three?

Of course, if that's the case, then frankly, the breeder has no business planning a Spring 2013 litter, when they are still having difficulty placing pups from their previous litters--and perhaps the breeding stock being used ought be retired now, as it seems to be producing a good share of soft ears that don't fully stand....

I do hope this breeder does right by this Brix, after all the emotion she expended when he was in need of expensive surgical aid...
