Oh, my....they are BOTH soooo beautiful, Killshot! I've always had a soft spot for IWs; the only thing that's held me back is the tendency for such a short lifespan, relatively speaking. I have enough difficulty with losing dogs at 14 years of age; I can't bring myself to knowingly choose just 7 or 8 years...
Luther is a handsome specimen of the breed, despite the dishonesty of his breeder. Thank you for sharing these pictures with us!

Thx, mate...he is my 3rd IW, and I concur: they break your effing heart every 8 years, but they are so damn noble. They hearken us back to an older time...the wisdom of the ages in their eyes. And, I might add, my GSDs have been such great matches with them.

killshot, this breeder may be well known and "reputable" as you stated in your OP, but they lack ethics and character.
you're not going to continue dealings with someone like this and make up the difference in "discount" training.
compliments to you for doing what is best for the pup, not what I would do, but we are all made different. this breeder is a crook and you have been had and bad. protect him/her if you wish but you do the GSD world no favor..

Killshot, I agree...the IWs DO seem to carry the old knowledge in their genes. I would expect the GSDs to mesh well with the IWs...both share an innate sense of responsibility that isn't found in all breeds. The Newfies I've know all have that trait as well.
Would I be correct in speculating that recently, a Minnesota governor AND a US Vice President also obtained a GSD pup from Luther's 'breeder'?

Well, if 2&2=4, than we are talking Minnesota K-9 Solutions here.
Why the OP just don't say it is beyond me, but one thing I can not ttake is breeders who give their buyers the shaft!
If this person did not say they wanted a show quality dog, that would be one thing, but c'mon now with this crap!
And yes, I do dislike the return the one in exchange for another.
